With a population of over 35,000 people, Fair Lawn has been a fully functioning town filled with successful and friendly people since 1912. I had the pleasure of growing up in this wonderful neighborhood. Many of my childhood memories were spent with family and friends in our wholesome small town. If you lived or currently live in Fair Lawn, New Jersey you can agree with a few of these Fair Lawn facts below!

1. The 57 is an important and extremely tasty number

Giovanni’s Deli, or better known as Gio’s, is an Italian restaurant in Fair Lawn that sells delicious food especially wraps that are to die for. The #57 wrap is their most famous one. It is made up of breaded chicken, vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella, always served with an extra side of sauce.

2. Green Dragon is definitely your go-to sushi restaurant


Great homey restaurant for lunch or dinner!

3. Ness Pizza

The famous pizza parlor in town!

4. Thrives in the Arts

If you ask what Fair Lawn schools are known for most, people will tell you either the theatre or the marching band program. Fair Lawn has received numerous awards over many years for student talent.

5. You don’t know whether Modern Bagels or Hot Bagels is better?

Bagels bagels bagels!

6. You know the street parking phone number by heart

If your car is on the street for the night you've already called 201-794-5399.

7. The recreation center

The George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation, or the Fair Lawn Recreation Center, is the host for theatrical performances, ceremonies, sporting events, fitness sessions, children’s programs, summer camps, and so much more.

8. It almost always smells like cookies outside


Whether its one o'clock in the afternoon or one o'clock in the morning, Nabisco is always a sweet neighbor to have.

9. Land & Sea, Empress, or Gotham Diner, which is the question?

These three place are where you go at any time for a quick bite and a long night of chitchat and laughter.

10. Jewish Country

A temple on every corner and a Jew at every turn.

11. The Dutch House

If you want to go out for a good meal with the family or when you need a night out to grabs a drink with friends.

12. You don’t question the mascot

Yes, it’s a pirate, and yes, we call it a Cutter.

Is that a problem?

A nice and convenient place to grab a bite or a cup of Starbucks coffee.
