Because we all know life can get hard sometimes.

With the new school year starting up, it's easy to get stressed out. Here are 15 ways to help you relax and de-stress.

1. Watch your favorite movie.

My favorite movie happens to be Grease, but whatever your favorite movie is I can guarantee that watching it will put you in a better mood. Add popcorn to the mix and you will be free of stress for at least two hours.

2. Go to the park.

I don’t care how old you are, you will never be too old to swing at the park. There is just something about the atmosphere of a park that reminds me of my childhood and I automatically become unstressed.

3. Drive around jamming to your favorite songs.

My mom and I have this thing we do when she knows I’m super stressed or I know she’s super stressed; we drive the back roads jamming to our favorite songs. We may lose our voices ¾ of the time, but screaming at the top of your lungs to your favorite Taylor Swift song will surely get your mind off whatever is stressing you out.

4. Visit an animal shelter.

Hello, dogs!! The people at the animal shelter let you pet the animals and give them love, even though they know you will probably not adopt them. I mean if you don’t think this actually works, you must have never had dogs come to your school during finals week.

5. Bake cookies.

Make sure you grab milk too!

6. Read a book.

I’m definitely not a person who likes to read any type of book, but diving into a new book and learning about a character’s problems, makes our problems look a little more minor.

7. Go for a run.

She means horizontal running right? If you don’t want to run, go for a walk.

8. Go shopping.

I’m not telling you to go max out your credit cards, but do go treat yourself; you deserve it!

9. Dance around in your PJ's!

You are young, so dance around in your PJ's, sing to your favorite songs, and enjoy life.

10. Have a game night with friends.

Apples to Apples, Monopoly, Boxers or Briefs, or even Go Fish; whatever the game is, take a night off and have a good ole time with your friends beating them at all the favorite games.

11. Look through old pictures.

Looking at pictures of when you were a child, or even a couple of years ago, seems to always make me happy. Sometimes, the pictures even remind me of some of the hard times I had, and it just shows that if I can get through what I did, I can get through anything.

12. Take a bubble bath.

Pour in your favorite scent and turn those tunes up. Make sure you grab your rubbie duckies too!

13. Get a massage.

If you have never gotten a massage, you are missing out on a wonderful experience. It’s one hour of complete relaxation; not having to worry about anything in the world.

14. Color in a coloring book.

I don’t care how ridiculous it sounds; coloring in a coloring book relieves so much stress. No wonder little kids are so carefree!

15. Read your bible.

Reading my bible has gotten me out of the most stressful times of my life. God is always there for us no matter how absent we think he is in our problems. If God puts you through it, He obviously thinks you can conquer.

You’re way too blessed to be stressed out all of the time. I get it; life and school can both get very hard, but when things get too hard to handle, remember these 15 things and go enjoy yourself.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
