New York City during Christmas time is a must see! Here are a few things you should do during Christmas time in New York City!

1. Go sight seeing

This was one of my favorite parts about the whole trip! NYC has some of the most beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the city. My favorite places to go sight seeing were Times Square, Central Park, and the Rockefeller Center. There is never a store or street that is not decorated for the holidays!

2. Take a bus tour of the city

This was such a fun thing to do! Yes, it was cold, but worth it! The bus tour takes you places that are famous. Some of them you don't know were famous and some you do! It's not just about what is famous and what isn't; the bus tour gives you facts you may or may not have known about the city. It also can give you ideas on where to visit while you are visiting the city!

3. Go to a show on Broadway

This is a must when visiting NYC in general. When I was in NYC, I saw Kinky Boots and it was amazing. If you decide to see a Broadway performance, make sure to eat dinner at a place that works around Broadway performances schedules! There are a ton of them.

4. Visit all of the "little" towns

You can't go to NYC without visiting Little Italy or China Town! Everyone has to experience it. In Little Italy, you can always count on eating the best Italian meal you've possibly have ever eaten. In China Town, stop by one of the venders and get you a look-a-like Tory Burch, Michael Kors, or Louis Vuitton purse or wallet! Each little town has something unique about each one. They are both decorated for Christmas in their own, unique way.

5. Visit the Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is one of the must see sights of NYC. No matter if it is a holiday or not, you should always stop by to see the most beautiful stature in the country!

6. Visit the 9/11 Memorial

This was one of the things I didn't get the chance to do because it was sold out, but I am sure it was worth it for the people who did get to see it. Holidays can be hard when you have lost a loved one, and it is always nice to pay tribute to the ones who were innocently killed on such a horrific day for America.

7. Go shopping

When in NYC, shopping is a must! Especially with the sales going on! They have such great deals at all of your favorite stores like Macy's. Don't be afraid to go look on Saks 5th Avenue either! Tiffany's looks amazing decorated for the holidays!

8. Visit the Empire State Building at night

Most people don't think of visiting the Empire State building at night, but this was a must for when I visited. It was gorgeous looking over the city at night. It was very peaceful and calm!

9. Pick up an ornament while you're visiting!

Pick up an ornament to remind you of the memories you made while in NYC during Christmas! Ornaments are some of my favorite decorations for Christmas, so this is a must!

10. Eat at a vender at least once!

Food venders are some of the things you hear about when visiting NYC, so why not try it? Food venders are literally everywhere so you won't miss one anywhere you go!

11. Take a carriage ride through Central Park

Carriage rides in the NYC during Christmas? Sounds ideal right about now! This was one of my favorite things to do while in NYC! It gives you a break from walking so much!

12. Visit The Plaza Hotel

If you're like me and love the movie Home Alone, then you will love this! The Plaza Hotel looks exactly like it does in the movie during Christmas time and it was amazing!

13. Visit Grand Central Station

If you are a Gossip Girl fan like me, its a must to visit the Grand Central Station! It is gorgeous decorated for Christmas.

14. If you see a celebrity, take a pic!

This will be the one and only time so might as well save the memory through a pic!

15. Last but not least, take lots and lots of pictures!

Not many people can say they went to NYC, but you can! So why not take as many pics as you can?

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
