Falling For Fall

Autumn is my favorite season. From the leaves beginning to change color, to the crisp air on your cheeks as you walk to class. Whether you need a break from studying or just want to find something to do during the weekend, here are 15 things you should do this fall:

1. Go to the Drive-In

Grab some blankets, pillows, snacks and a great group of friends to go to the drive-in with on a chilly Friday night. On some October nights, they might even have a horror movie special! I wish drive-in movies were just as popular as they once were. After all, what's not to love about a cheap outdoor movie theater under the stars?

2. Watch 'Stranger Things' Season 2

Stranger Things is a great show to binge watch on Netflix! It has that spooky, classic, vintage vibe to it. Season 2 comes out on October 27th, but you can, of course, always binge watch season 1 while you're waiting!

3. Go to a Haunted House

I personally HATE haunted houses. I don't like people and things jumping out at me, but I always love a good scare.

4. Shop on Black Friday

Because who doesn't love a good bargain? Join the rushes of people fighting over every product in the store like it's the Hunger Games, just one day after we got done celebrating how thankful we are for all that we have.

5. Buy a Holiday Starbucks Drink

Get your pumpkin spice latte and you're ready to go!

6. Go to a Sunflower Festival

Because you gotta get that perfect Instagram-worthy picture!

7. Have a Bonfire

Snuggle up with a great group of friends, roast some marshmallows, drink some hot cocoa and tell spooky stories by the fire.

8. Have a Scary Movie Night

I love a good scary movie to watch in the dark. I love the feeling of suspense that leaves me at the edge of my chair. My personal favorite: 'The Shining'.

9. Bake Cookies

Is there honestly anyone who DOESN'T like these cookies?

10. Carve Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins every year is a tradition in my family. My dad goes to the store and picks out three big pumpkins for us to carve. Not only do I love carving pumpkins, but I look forward to eating them in pumpkin pie every year on Thanksgiving, too.

11. Read a Book

Grab a blanket, fuzzy socks, hot chocolate, a fall flavored candle and your favorite book, and you are set for a cozy, relaxing fall afternoon.

12. Go to a Halloween Party

There might be *those* people who say you are too old to trick-or-treat, but you are never too old to dress up for the holiday! If you're in college it might be difficult to find a costume, but there are so many easy and cheap costumes you can make with your friends! Pinterest is the best! Take your homemade costume to a Halloween party and show off your mad DIY-ing skills.

13. Have a 'Harry Potter' Marathon

You can never watch Harry Potter too many times, right? Snuggle up with some butter beer and get to watching all 8 movies!

14. Go to a Homecoming Football Game

Whether or not you actually enjoy watching football, it's always great to show school spirit, dress in your school's colors and cheer on your team.

15. Give Thanks

It's nice to stop for a moment amid our busy and stressful life, and look around at all that we have. Too often, we take what we have for granted. During this season of Thanksgiving, call your parents and thank them. Tell your best friend that you love them. Even thank your boss for hiring you! Take the time to tell all of the people who are special to you how much they mean to you.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
