So, it's currently raining outside, and I don't know why but weather ALWAYS affects my mood.

When it's sunny with blue skies, I'm optimistic and happy. When it's cloudy, I'm really anxious or really thoughtful. When it's raining, I'm sad or lazy. When it snows, I'm comfy and excited.

Because everyone always likes being happy, I decided to put together a list of things that make me the happiest. Some of these things are weird, but I'm sure you'll find at least one thing you can relate to.

1. The song "Dancing Queen."

"SEE THAT GIRRRRLLL! WATCH THAT SCEEENEEE! DIGGIN' THE DANCING QUEEEEEN!"

2. Holding a coffee mug with two hands

For some reason, I really like to hold a warm mug between my hands like they do in the movies.

3. Crisp new sheets/making my bed

It makes me feel like a queen.

4. Freshly shaved legs

I can finally wear shorts!

5. Pulling warm laundry out of the dryer

And putting on warm pj pants oooooohhh babbbyyyy

6. My room being REALLY cold

So I can wrap up in my comforter, duvet cover, sheets, and 2 blankets like a burrito

7. Diet Dr. Pepper

"It's the sweet one."

8. New socks

No explanation necessary

9. Big t-shirts

Can double as pjs and clothes you wear to class

10. Listening to music in my car incredibly loud

Like... SO LOUD

11. The smell of popcorn

12. ...and coffee

13. ...and rain

You know what I mean though???

14. Hearing a car go by my house at night

I can't really explain that one.

15. Dancing really poorly

No one's watching anyways and if they are, they're blind now so...

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
