15 Things Only Fangirls Get

According to the Urban Dictionary, fangirl is "a rabid breed of human female who is obsessed with either a fictional character or an actor. Similar to the breed of fanboy." A less frightening definition is "a female who has overstepped the line between healthy fandom and indecent obsession." As a proud fangirl, I know the struggle. Here's a list of things myself and other fangirls just get.

1. Being extremely emotionally involved in your favorite TV shows.

2. Sleep? What is a sleep schedule?

3. Making sounds that are not human.

4. Having little to no social life.

5. Getting weird looks when using the fangirl language in real life.

6. It seems like all the good men are fictional.

7. It's likely you have more than one OTP (one true pairing).

8. In fact, you have many in the same fandom.

9. Feeling extremely protective over your fav characters, fandom, and ships.

10. When the writers mess with your ships.

11. Since the writers didn't expand enough, there's always fan fiction.

12. The excruciating waiting period before your ship becomes canon.

13. Sexual tension between your ship is too much, and you're like:

14. When your favorite character gets killed.

15. You have friends on Tumblr who you can fangirl with.
