For those of you sad that Halloween is over and December just seems too far away, remember how much fun November is. Here are 15 examples of why November rocks:
1. Jump in the leaves. It’s so beautiful in the fall with the changing leaves and cooler weather. Get outside, jump in some leaves, and enjoy.
2. Apple Cider. Regular, hot, or spiked it doesn’t matter. Apple Cider is a fall favorite you can’t miss.
3. Pull out your sweaters. Time to put away our summer clothing for a while and pull out the warm clothing. Sweaters, sweatshirts, and sweatpants are my favorites. Time to get comfy.
4. Remember what you’re thankful for. The year 2015 is ending soon, and with Thanksgiving coming soon, try to remember all the things and people who make you happy. It’s important we all value those in our lives that have made us better people and acknowledge them as much as possible. Though we should be doing this all the time, November is a great time to catch up on those “thank you’s.”
5. Black Friday. Get some coffee and get ready for the holiday rush. Whether you go to the stores or enjoy the sales online in bed, don’t forget to check out the crazy deals.
6. Pumpkin Everything. Who knew they had pumpkin-flavored toothpaste? Keep your eye out for the bizarre pumpkin-flavored items.
7. Going to the mountains. Lots of frats will be heading to the mountains this month. Time to whip out those painting skills and prepare your liver.
8. Start thinking about the December holidays. I am awful about holiday shopping, but with all the sales at the end of November it can be the perfect time to start thinking about your shopping list.
9. Watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” A classic that cannot be overlooked.
10. Rage. With Christmas break approaching quicker and quicker, it’s time to savor the time you have left this semester. Finish strong, friends.
11. Thanksgiving Meal. Surrounded by family and friends, the large selection of Thanksgiving food is always something to look forward to.
12. Go hiking. I hear it’s a fun time that everyone should consider this month. With the trees changing and the temperature being cool, hiking with some friends could be a fun afternoon event.
13. Flannels. If you haven’t already whipped out the flannels, now is the time. You can never go wrong.
14. Thanksgiving Day Parade. Wake up and enjoy the parade on Thanksgiving morning. Regardless of how you celebrate, the parade is fun for all.
15…and most importantly, Pitsgiving. Each year the Wake Forest Dining Hall puts on the most spectacular feast for the students: Pitsgiving. Come early and snag a space, it fills quickly. And for good reason-- it’s the best day of the year.
