When I was younger, I remember saying to myself, "I can't wait to be a grown-up." Back then, I thought being a kid was tough because there were so many things I couldn't experience since I was too young. Today, as a junior in college, looking back on the simpler days makes me wish I could be a seven-year-old girl again. It was pure bliss when the only thing I had on my mind was my next soccer game or sleepover with my friends. As a child, you enjoy the small aspects of life and are simply happy with just about anything. As adults, we have to juggle responsibilities and have our minds on a million different things at once. I think we can actually mature more by being a kid at heart. Here are a few activities that, in my opinion, you are never too old for:

1. Disney Movies

Disney movies are enjoyable for anyone, regardless of age. They are inspiring and can affect us in ways we never would have imagined. Disney movies are actually bearable to watch with family, and they not only entertain but teach us life lessons as well.

2. Power Naps

Everyone can use a nap from time to time, and excess sleep is definitely not limited to only children. Napping increases alertness and improves mood and performance. Anyone and everyone can benefit from a little more sleep.

3. Going To The Zoo

Who doesn't love animals? Going to the zoo is an unforgettable experience that everyone can enjoy. You get to be up close and personal with all kinds of unique critters.

4. Fireworks

Fireworks are perfect for holidays and celebrations! They're fun and entertaining to watch, but even more thrilling to shoot off.

5. Listening To Music

We all react to music in different ways, but from my own experiences, music can definitely affect our mood. Whether you're trying to de-stress or just stay awake during a long car ride, listening to music is enjoyable at any age.

6. Traveling

Exploring a new place and taking a vacation in the midst of our crazy lives will never get old. Traveling with family and friends is a great experience.

7. Praise And Worship

You're never too old to praise and worship God. God is love.

8. Learning A New Skill

It's always a good idea to continue learning new skills. Knowledge is power!

9. Board Games

Playing board games exercises your brain and keeps you socially active. Plus, who doesn't love a little friendly competition?

10. Making A Fashion Statement

You most definitely are never too old to stand out! Don't be afraid to be a Fruit Loop in a world full of Cheerios.

11. Singing In The Shower

Singing in the shower is pretty common – whether you want to admit it or not. Most people do it to pass the time and because singing in the shower makes them sound better than they actually are.

12. Date Nights

An old-fashioned date night will always be rewarding and beneficial to any relationship.

13. Watching Sports

Cheering on your favorite sports team – especially with fellow fans – is a blast! You're never too old to enjoy sports.

14. Sharing Wisdom

Sharing experiences is something you do throughout your life. As you grow older, you gain more wisdom and knowledge and it's always enjoyable giving others advice.

15. Happy Dancing

It's always appropriate to dance it out.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
