Most of the guys we meet end up being the complete opposite of what we expected. They're sweet in the beginning, and then they stop trying. The show, "New Girl" will take you through all 15 things that most guys do that we need to put an end to.

1. Grabbing onto girls as they walk by:

Unless I openly give you consent to grab my body as I pass by you, learn your place and never put your hand on a woman without asking for permission. Point blank.

2. Insult/putdown others in a "joking" matter:

Everyone has their insecurities and flaws that no one should point out. But, unfortunately, most of us have met those guys that believe it's okay to do so if it is a "joke." It's not.

3. Hating on cats/dogs/pets:

As a cat owner, I understand that some people prefer dogs, however, hearing a guy that I'm potentially interested in talk down about my cat is a major turn off. Check yourself.

4. Sending that "what you doing? ;)" text in the middle of the night:

Not quite sure why most mens' confidence boosts in the middle of the night, which leads to these iconic messages. This needs to stop! No one is going to get out of bed at two a.m. for you!

5. Using the worst pickup lines:

I will admit, some pickup lines could be funny and lead to a conversation. However, other cheesy line are just gross. For everyone's sake, just use a simple "hello."

6. Badmouth other men that do not enjoy beer:

If someone (especially other men) do not want to "enjoy" a cold beer with you, do not make them feel like they are less than you because they do not like the taste of your pee water!

7. Trying to convince girls in relationships to cheat:

I have heard many stories of men reaching out to girls via social media telling to cheat on them (even if they already claimed in a committed relationship). Seriously, guys? No beuno!

8. Clueless about their career path:

It is not attractive when a guy does not know what he wants to do with his future. Figure out your life and then give me a call! I am not here to mom you!

9. Refusing to do the "dating thing" in college:

Most guys have this attitude, but if two people like each other, than be together. Stop being scared of the word "couple" or "relationship." You are grown men in your 20's. Act like it.

10. Barely putting in effort to be friends with your girlfriend's friends:

The majority of women put in the effort to befriend the boyfriend's friends. And, yet, it doesn't seem to be expected from the boyfriend? If I'm putting in the effort, so should you.

11. Water down their feelings for others:

Quick tip: if you pretend to not be interested or care, than I'm going to leave and move on. Acting like you aren't into me, doesn't make me want you more. I'll just drop you.

12. Using their phones while you're talking:

Okay, maybe my long stories about my fights with my girlfriends aren't that exciting, but at least pretend to be listening! That's just rude!

13. Still act like children:

If you're a grown man, living on his own, and in his 20's, you should no longer have the same personality that you had when you were in middle school. And, yes, I can tell it's the same.

14. Act like the world revolves around them:

It's a common theme that men expect women to drop everything they are doing for them. Excuse me? I have a life and responsibilities too! And I'm sure you wouldn't do that for us.

15. Not knowing how to speak to women in general:

To my male readers: try to fix the majority of the above points that I have just listed for you, and then, maybe, we can have a real conversation.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
