1. You get to make your own schedule

When you get to the real world, you won’t have the ability to pick-and-choose the way you lead your work hours. Take advantage of getting the most of your schedule now, and learn to enjoy those free afternoons after lectures or the sleep-in advantage.

2. Three-month summer vacations.

You definitely will miss the time you had to go on month-long adventures with besties, or those days of binge-watching Netflix. From now on, it will be two week (hopefully paid time off included) vacations. And even then, you might still be tempted to check your emails.

3. Meal Plans.

Trust me, I hate my meal plan now, but just wait until you have to cook your own meal after an 8 hour shift. It gets old real fast.

4. Wearing sweatpants to work.

If you don’t wear business casual dress code, don’t even bother showing up.

5. Going to the gym on your own time.

You can never avoid the overflow of workout enthusiasts once you get into the real world. After your 9-5 shift, you’ll be lucky if you get a machine all to yourself.

6. The perks of not paying student debt.

If you are a debt-free graduate, fantastic! But, if you aren’t…get ready to make endless payments after your 6-month grace period.

7. Skipping class.

I admit, sometimes we just don’t feel like sitting through a lecture. But in the real world say goodbye to those days of self-indulgence.

8. Naps.

Try not to fall asleep during your 3 P.M. meeting.

9. A very large pool of single and attractive people.

Hooking up with your coworker? Not the best idea if you want a peaceful job atmosphere.

10. Late night runs to your favorite fast-food joint

Real life: ZzzZzzzZzz

11. Sports games for free.

Sitting front row at a football game for free?! Not anymore. That’ll be $1,200 sir.

12. Student discounts.

*Tear*

13. Living in close proximity to your friends.

Wanna Skype soon?

14. Studying abroad.

Too much $$$ and not enough vacation days. You better plan that trip to Italy while you still have the time.

15. Thinking about what you want to do after college.

...Umm....Still don't know what I'm gonna do. YOLO.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
