15 Symptoms Of A Wineaholic

Some girls like to cuddle up in bed next to a nice guy or spend the night laying next to an adorable puppy, but I like to be sharing my bed with a full glass of wine. Even the worlds best guy or cutest puppy can get on your nerves from time to time, but wine never does. You can be in the best mood or the worst mood, either way you'll still want wine.

1. It's the first thing you do after a long day

Your shoes are still on, purse still in your hands but that doesn't stop you from heading straight for the kitchen. If you're anything like me you've probably spent all day reminding yourself that everything is going to be ok, because your favorite wine is awaiting you at home.

2. You wash more wine glasses than regular glasses

But sometimes washing a glasses just seems like too long of a wait. So, you resort to just drinking out of the bottle. You can judge me and say that it's less than classy, but chances are you've been there too. If you haven't, your time will come.

3. Staying home is perfectly fine with you

Why would I go out? I have everything I need right here. A big glass of wine, Netflix, and my bed. That sounds a whole lot better than hunch punch, loud music, and a crowed room.

4. You never ask yourself if you should have wine tonight

Not even a question. The answer is always yes.

5. You know the struggle of stained lips

This is probably the only bad thing about wine. No matter how many remedies I look up online, my lips never fail to have the red wine stain on the inside.

6. You've ruined a few shirts

I'll probably never learn that if I make it past my second glass I should take off my nice shirt and put on an old t-shirt. Maybe one day, but probably not.

7. Taking out the garbage looks like you threw a party

When I take my trash out everyone around me probably thinks I had one wild night with my friends. But instead to was just a really great week full of my favorite wine.

8. You own multiple wine openers

One is never enough. Why take the risk that you won't be able to find it or that it will break? It's not worth that gamble, so just buy two.

9. But you've resorted to pushing the cork in

I've learned that sometimes not even two wine openers is enough. I've also learned that I won't give up when faced with this issue.

10. You make friends who like wine

Drinking wine alone is fun, but it's even better shared with friends who appreciate it as much as you do. If you don't already have friends who love a big glass of wine at the end of the day, be sure to expand your friend group.

11. Even your smallest budget has room for wine

It can be a cheap as $3, and if that's all you have to spend on wine for this weeks budget I promise you'll find a way to enjoy it just as much as your usual bottle.

12. You know more about wine than you do your major

You can name ever type of wine, every brand, and describe that taste in a way that makes non-wineaholics confused, but you can't remember what you learned in class yesterday. Can you major in wine tasting?

13. You notice the type of wine characters drink

You feel sometime on major connection when you're favorite tv or movie character is drinking the same kind of wine as you. And you feel really disappointed in their ability to know good wine if they aren't.

14. You justify your wine because wine is healthy

A glass a day is good for you, right? So why not be an over achiever and aim for two or three glasses? Plus it's grapes right? Who said being on a diet is difficult?

15. You check grocery store sales weekly

There is no worse feeling than realizing your favorite wine was half off and you missed it. You've grown used to checking the ads weekly and have gone into the store for only a bottle of wine more than a few times.
