The holidays are over, and they brought with them much joy, rest, and food. They also may have brought a not-so-subtle reminder about your current relationship status. In the age of social media, it's all too easy to see your friends posting about amazing presents their significant other bought them for the holidays, or romantic couple pictures in front of the Rockefeller Tree. Being bombarded with this imagery can prompt the question in your own mind, "Is everyone in a relationship right now?" Well, you may think now that the holidays have passed, you're safe from more of those sappy posts, and you're right -- until Valentine's Day. Luckily, there's someone who understands the dating struggle all too well. You may know her from "The Office" or "The Mindy Project." In both of these shows, Mindy Kaling plays characters that are constantly looking for (and occasionally screwing up) relationships. So if you struggle with dating (like me), just know Mindy understands.

15. So you decide the best solution is to just avoid dating all together:
Mindy shows us that it's OK if our dating life is a mess. Just get back out there when you're ready, but what's the rush anyway? You're fabulous all on your own, inside and out. In the words of Mindy herself, "If I'm going to be a mess, I might as well be a hot mess, right?"
