As the fall semester approaches, not only will college students stress about school work; they also have to worry about moving into a new space.

Whether it's moving into a new apartment or a new dorm room, everyone knows the struggle of hauling all their things. It's an exciting day to get into a new place but a very long tiring one as well.

Here are 15 thoughts and questions that go through every college students' brain on move-in day.

1. How am I going to fit all of this stuff in my car?

No seriously, should I consider renting a U-Haul? I don't remember owning this much stuff.

2. I hope I didn't leave anything behind.

If your college is more than an hour away, you definitely want to make sure you have everything. A checklist is really important to have if it is your first year.

3. It is too early for this much activity.

Most college kids I know don't wake up early for anything, but on move in day you just have to suck it up.

4. Trying to find a parking spot close to your residence hall.

Finding a parking spot close to the building is crucial because hauling stuff across campus is never fun.

5. Having the right people help you move.

The more people the better. The family will always be there to help out though.

6. Praying all the dollies aren't being used.

The residence hall has a limited amount of dollies, so get them while you can! Pro tip: buy a dolly at the hardware store that way you"ll have it for any and all moving purposes; you're welcome.

7. "I am literally sweating."

It's still the end of summer so you'll be drenched in sweat, don't worry.

8. Hm, I wonder how old this elevator is...

With all the people moving in at once, an elevator is bound to stop or make a weird noise, let's just hope you are not on that one.

9. The mass amounts of people moving in at once is just chaos. There's no way around it.

Even if the elevators are working properly you have to hustle if you want to make it on one right away because everyone is battling to get there stuff in as quickly as possible.

10. How many trips am I going to have to take before all my stuff is in my room?

It feels like an eternity of up and down carrying items all day long.

11. Water, I need water.

Remember when I said you were going to sweat a lot? You're going to be dying of thirst too. Water will taste great even if it's not super cold.

12. Man, I hope my roommates are chill.

Sometimes you go random while other years you might room with friends, regardless you don't really know a person until after you've lived with them so be prepared.

13. Wait, now I have to organize everything?

So you finally moved all your boxes and bins into your room. Now take a 5 minute break and go organize everything.

14. I wish I was catching up with my friends right now.

Students typically have designated times and days to move in. So if your friends move in before you, move-in day can be that much dreadful.

15. Oh look, it's dark outside.

When everything is finally in its spot and your room looks put together, you realize the day is over; but it was 100 percent worth it because now you have a place to call your own.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
