If you’re like me, then you’re at that point of the semester where you’re questioning every decision you’ve ever made and all you want to do is lay in bed watching "That 70’s Show". You have days full of exams and quizzes, every free second is spent studying. But you deserve a day full of rest and relaxation to calm your mind. Here are a few ways to feel totally unruffled and at peace again.

1. Strip your bed and wash your sheets and pillowcases with lavender scented fabric softener.

2. Fill your Aroma Therapy diffuser full of lavender essential oils and do some sun salutations (As you can probably guess, lavender oil is the best for relaxation.

3. Draw yourself a bath filled with lavender bath salts. Turn on some Motown and soak as the salts dissolve. Stay in there until you become pruney. Make sure you use four fluffiest, softest towel when you get out.

4. Cuddle your cat. If you don’t have a cat, cuddle anything that is cute and soft.

5. DO NOT CHECK FACEBOOK. This is 'you' time.

6. Listen to Ed Sheeran. Or Dave Mathews Band. Or John Mayer. Or Norah Jones.

7. Do some yoga.

8. Watch videos of puppies and kittens becoming friends.

9. Get a new blank canvas, some brightly-colored oil paints, and a soft paint brush… paint a beautiful swirling picture. Creating something new is a wonderful stress-reliever.

10. Eat some chocolate pudding. There is no problem that a cup of chocolate pudding can’t solve.

11. Read your favorite poem, or write one of your own. Language is beautiful and powerful, use it.

12. Give yourself a pedicure.

13. Look at old pictures of your friends, your family, your pets, yourself… remember (and laugh at) old times.

14. Text your best friends and tell them how much you love them. Use as many heart emoji’s as you want. This works every time.

15. Plan a trip, even if it’s just to the next city over. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to.

16. Make yourself a cup of tea. Sweeten it with honey instead of sugar; honey soothes the soul. Then make yourself another and another and another.

17. Eat a yummy salad for dinner, and then bake a chocolate cake for dessert (chocolate is proven to brighten anyone's mood). Use peanut butter frosting and pair it with vanilla ice cream.

18. End the day by watching nature documentaries and snuggling under your favorite blanket. Try to fall asleep early to ensure a restful night.
