This is for all you West Coasters, international students, and anyone else from a seemingly random state that somehow ended up at McDaniel College. We have traveled from far away and landed in Westminster, Maryland. With a large portion of McDaniel students coming from Maryland and the other nearby states, us students who come from places like California, Wisconsin, Guatemala, Australia, and more have become accustomed (or are still trying) to some aspects of college life unique to us.

1. Hearing "So how'd you find McDaniel?" 12109419 times

2. Not understanding the obsession with Old Bay

3. Realizing pretty much everyone else lives "45 minutes to an hour away"

4. Being asked "Why would you leave (insert home state or country here) to come here?"

5. The noncommittal weather of Maryland

6. The slang: "hun, deadass, the O's, DMV, Natty Boh, PA, HTTR, salty"

7. Long plane rides many times a year

8. The lack of snow preparation in Maryland

9. Getting to enjoy your home land for 5 weeks during beautiful Jan Term

10. Moving in early because you can't just take a quick drive the day of move in

11. Staying at friends' houses during short breaks

12. Having most of your friends live a plane ride away

13. CRABS as a cultural & social event

14. The Maryland flag EVERYWHERE

15. Everyone referring to their counties in Maryland instead of towns/cities

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
