We're all guilty of procrastinating, especially us college kids. We always tell ourselves we'll get a head start, but end up throwing something together the night before. Who better than to describe this struggle than Michael Scott?

1. When you first get the assignment and tell yourself you are going to be super on top of it!

2. But then you assure yourself that you don't have to worry about it yet.

3. Before you know it, the assignment is due in a week and you still haven't started it.

And then 6 days, then 5, then 4....

4. When you're salty because all of your friends go out and you can't because you still haven't started this assignment due in 2 days

5. When you finally start and the prompt seems like it's in a different language.

6. And then you start writing and...

7. Then, you ask your friends for advice...

8. You've been working for 10 hours and only have your name and a title.

9. When you feel like you'll never finish

10. When you've been working for so long and start going delusional

11. You hate yourself for procrastinating so badly.

12. When you finally finish the assignment...

13. ...and your work is absolute garbage.

14. You realize how happy you are that you will never have to look at this assignment again.

15. And finally, the promise you make yourself that you will never procrastinate again, but you know you inevitably will.

But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
