If you're like many college students, you might be living at home with your family for the summer. While the free room and board and Mom's home cooked meals are probably speaking to your soul, you might find that your childhood home feels a lot different now that you live away from it, and away from your family, for eight months out of the year. And if anybody else understands the mixed feelings that families entail, it's the Kardashians, right? Here are some situations you may find yourself in while you're home for the summer.

1. When your mom is just a liiittle too happy to have you home.

2. And when things with her go back to normal quickly and she calls with a list of chores for you.

3. When your family just comes busting through your door unannounced.

4. And when they aren't too pleased with your housekeeping style.

5. When you use a slang term that everybody at school knows, but your family just doesn't quite get it.

6. When being home really starts taking a toll on your dating life...

7. ...because the hometown pool of guys just keeps getting smaller and shallower.

8. When nobody in your family will stop pestering you about your life and your education and your career plans...

9. ...and when you ~*literally*~ just cannot take it anymore.

10. When you and your siblings fall back into your gross childhood tendencies.

11. When your friends are no longer down the hall or across campus so you and your family just kinda...

12. When you just cannot take one more "dad joke."

13. When family time turns into family tension.

14. And when you come to the realization that...

15. But you know that you wouldn't have it any other way, and you're glad you're spending the summer amidst this madness.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
