Driving in a car can be pretty fun, especially when you have music to listen and sing along to. Although, listening to the radio can get boring from time to time.

Having a music app like Spotify or even making a CD to play in your car could help you come up with new songs to listen to on a road trip without the constant 5 songs playing in a row. When it comes to coming up with good road trip music, always look towards the classics.

Everything from the 70's through the early 20's; feel good songs that will bring you back to the days of your childhood. Here is a list of a few songs that could liven up any road trip playlist.

1. Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Elton John and Kiki Dee

This fun little diddy released in 1976, and it is a classic that is fun to sing-a-long to with your best friend.

2. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

A classic. Do I need to say anymore?

3. Dancing Queen - ABBA

"You are the Dancing Queen. Young and sweet. Only seventeen..." but you don't have to be seventeen to love this song.

4. You Give Love A Bad Name (Shot Through The

Heart) - Bon Jovi

Commonly known as "Shot Through The Heart", released in 1986, this song is a rock' roll hit.

5. Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin

One of Led Zeppelin's most recognizable songs. With an excellent tune and chorus, how would you not love it?

6. Dream On - Aerosmith

Aerosmith is one of the most popular classic rock bands out there. This song has a calm sense and is a very powerful ballad.

7. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

Fun Fact: Did you know that the lyrics to this song came from a poem Axl Rose was working on?

8. Come Sail Away - Stix

"Come sail away... Come sail away... Come sail away with me" off into a daydream of great music.

9. Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees

"Stayin' Alive... Statin' Alive..." This is definitely a song worth listening to. With it's catchy tune, it's no wonder why many people turn to this song on karaoke nights.

10. December, 1963 - Frankie Valli & The Four Season

Frankie Valli's December, 1963 is a very catchy song. With Valli's high notes, it just takes you back to the early sixties.

11. The Logical Song - Supertramp

This song's message about logic restricting creativity and passion has a special place in my heart, and I hope it will touch you the same way.

12. Piano Man - Billy Joel

A great song to sing by yourself or with another friend. It's perfect for taking the lone road.

13. The Boys Are Back in Town - Thin Lizzy

This 1976 song is great to sing-a-long to in a car full of friends and family. It has a great beat that will liven up any party.

14. American Pie - Don McLean

I don't know much about Don McLean, but I do know this song is an instant American hit usually played a lot on the fourth of July.

15. Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen

Did you know it took Bruce Springsteen six months to prefect the song "Born To Run"?

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
