Freshman year is almost as awkward as seventh grade with the added pressure that you're supposed to be an adult and know what you're doing with your life. I'm pretty sure we're all failing at that. The first step to succeeding at freshman year is accepting your status; we're at the bottom of the totem pole now. If you're a freshman, these are 15 things that just really define you. It's okay, everyone's been there...right??
1. You feel like you know your way around, but you still use maps just in case
2. You're super eager about everything and you know it (and you're embarrassed about it)
3. You're uncomfortable around upperclassmen because no matter who they are, they're so much cooler than you
4. You know that you know nothing
5. You look forward to not being a freshman anymore
6. And not living in a dorm
7. You're following a ton of people on Instagram that are supposedly in your class but you have no idea who they are
8. So, you never know where you know people from
9. ...And you celebrate when you remember someone's name
10. Eating in the dining hall takes more mental and physical energy than it's worth
11. You're really savoring the moment because you know your grades will never be this good again
12. You feel super cool and grown up when you pass a campus tour
13. You still haven't found your study spot so you can't focus and it stresses you out
14. You still have the unmotivated aspect of senioritis without the cool-factor, and you can't figure out how to resolve it
15. You get FOMO seeing your high school friends that go to college together hanging out
