Scarlet red and olive green are always appropriate and consume most of the wardrobe of an Alpha Chi. Plus, everybody loves Christmas, so why not keep it going all year long.

2. You've taught people to hold their thumbs down when throwing what they know.

Sisters gotta help each other out. We all want the perfect pictures, so we have each others' backs.

3. You PACE all day, everyday.

You probably didn't know what a lyre was until you joined Alpha Chi. It was just a harp looking thing, but now you get uncontrollably excited when you spot one and have to point it out.

5. October 15th is the best day of the year.

The day seven amazing collegiate women came together to form the first fraternity of its kind. We are forever grateful to you, Bertha, Bessie, Nellie, Amy, Anna, Olive and Estelle.

When you join a sorority with a music background, you get used to it really quick. But, we all learn to love it and realize we should beautiful all together as one.

8. You love glitter.

I mean, what sorority girl doesn't love glitter? We've all had the time we go overboard with glitter and we are cleaning up remnants of it for months.

9. You always strive to see beauty in even the most common things of life.

We live by our symphony. It eloquently articulates all of our daily goals for ourselves and what standards we promise to uphold for the rest of our lives.

10. You would scream about DVA from the rooftops if you could.

You will never meet another group of people more passionate about an issue. We are women helping women. And, we wouldn't have it any other way.

11. You take every opportunity you have to throw what you know.

Photo opps are everything and we gotta rep our AchiO.

12. Red carnations are your favorite flower.

Simple, but beautiful and to us it symbolizes something so much more.

13. You could spell out Alpha Chi Omega in your sleep.

A-L-P-H-A C-H-I OMEGA, A-L-P-H-A C-H-I OMEGA. We are the Alpha Chi's and we are really great (and we know it).

14. Pin attire is the best attire.

Look good, feel good, represent Alpha Chi good.

15. You're a real strong woman.

The strongest women in the entire world. We are there as women to build each other up, and that is what we do best as Alpha Chi Omegas.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours.
