I'm back in my old stomping grounds watching my sister play softball, hanging out with longtime friends, and being around the areas I grew up. It got me thinking of 15 signs that I (we) went to a small town school.
1. You knew everyone's name, like everyone's.
2. You knew the names of your teachers, their spouse, and maybe their kids.
3. You did more than one sport and made varsity. What a pro
4. If something went down, you'd know about it by lunch.
5. The awesomeness of getting into multiple class sections with your friends.
6. Even as a guy, there was no escaping the drama and/or rumors.
7. Reading people's names off at graduation took about 40 minutes or less.
8. You might've driven a moped or walked to school.
9. Your teachers could identify you by knowing your siblings.
10. There was that one teacher you tried to avoid.
11. The whole town would show up for football games.
12. Getting new students was a crazy BIG deal.
13. Summer jobs consisted of students working in 1 of 3 places.
14. Someone was considered a mystery if you didn't know their life story.
15. Whether you absolutely love where you go to school now like I do or not, you defiantly appreciate where you came from.
I wouldn't have picked another place to go. What about you? Which of these could you and your friends relate to?
