Where we come from defines who we are. People come from all over the globe and travel all over. However, your home town defines who you are. It is home to your first of many things and it is always there for you when you need some support and love. Here are the tell tale signs your from North Eastern Pennsylvania .

1. Every time you tell someone where you are from, you say Scranton, like The Office.

You have had this conversation everywhere you go:

Person not from Scranton: " Where are you from?"

Scranton Native: " Scranton PA"

Person not from Scranton: " OOOOOO Like the Office! Omg I love that show!!!"

Scranton Native: "Yeah like The Office"

2. If you need to share a fun fact about yourself, you always use The Office

When you are starting classes for the first day, usually teachers ask for a fun fact about yourself. You know you are from Scranton when you are from where The Office is set in.

3. Friday and Saturday nights are spent driving around with your best friends

Usually in Scranton, there is not much to do on the weekends for those under 21. So when you are below 21, you drive around with your friends playing music and wasting gas.

4. You use the term "noodie"

A hoodie minus the hood is a non hooded sweater. If you are from Scranton, you will refer to this a s a noodie.

5. When you are ordering pizza you say "Can I have a tray a pizza"

When you order pizza outside of The Valley, no one can understand what you want.

6. You do not pronounce the "t" in Scranton

Due to our weird accents, we do not pronounce t's when they are in the middle of a word like Scran'n

7. You cannot drive on any roads without hitting a massive pot hole

When you drive on a street without potholes, you almost have to pinch yourself because you are so shocked your car did not get destroyed.

8. Parade Day is your favorite holiday

The Saturday before is every NEPA person's favorite day.

9. You refer to The Scranton University as either The U or Da U

Another thing due to our accents.

10. You love Middleswarth chips

Hands down the best BBQ chips in the world. They are a hoagies best friend.

11. You have been to a country concert at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain

You are familiar with the 5 seasons of NEPA: Winter, Spring, Concert, Summer and Fall. There is nothing like the Lawn during a country concert.

12. When you are counting, you say " A Couple One Two Tree"

You used to make fun of people who actually did this, and now you cannot help yourself.

13. You like Sheetz better than Wawa

Everywhere you turn you see a Sheetz so you cannot help but to be biased when it comes to Sheetz vs. Wawa

14. Your favorite part of the news is Talkback 16

You love how people will literally complain about everything on the news so it creates a lot of entertainment for the viewers.

15. No matter how many times you say you hate it, you really love Scranton

Even though we always say we cannot wait to leave, we love coming home and being in The Valley.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
