15 Signs That Prove Your Roommate Is Actually Your Sister
Maria Paula De Francisco

It's the oldest story in the book, you go to college meet a complete stranger who you will be living with and eventually you become best friends. When you first go to college you feel nervous, you don't know anyone and you especially do not know the person you will be living with for an entire year. You have so many mixed emotions, most of you have never even shared a room with another person, some of you are probably watched the movie The Roommate and were freaked out thinking that your roommate was going to be a psycho who stalked you every day but in most of the cases you end up finding your true best friend, in my case I found my sisters.

A roommate is a special person in your life, its the one person who really gets to know you, by the end of the year whether you like it or not, your roommate will know your most intimate secret. Now, I know this may not be the case for everyone but I'm so happy and grateful it was for me. My roommates became my family, they became those who I cried and complained to, they are the ones who drive me crazy but at the same time I couldn't live without them. We bully each other, we pull pranks on each other but most importantly we are always there for each other. A roommate is your family away from home and they are the ones who make you feel close to home even if you are a million miles away.

Here are a couple of things that prove that your roommate is more than just a roommate, she is your best friend but more importantly she is your sister and from now on she will always be part of your life because you cant get enough of her:

1. You text non-stop everyday even though you live together and are going to see her eventually.

2. You embrace each others weirdness.

3. You can literally spend an entire Friday night laughing at absolutely nothing.

4. You can insult each other all day long and there are no hard feelings, just better comebacks.

5. You don't like the same people.

6. You can steal anything from them as long as you leave them a cute post it.

7. She's seen you on your ugliest days, you can't escape it, she lives with you and she wont have a problem telling you exactly how ugly you look.

8. You can talk to her about absolutely anything and know that nothing you say leaves the room.

9. You watch and are obsessed with the same TV Shows.

10. You know what the other one is thinking without having to say a single word.

11. You study together until 3 am after procrastinating for about 3 hours and motivate each other so you do not fall asleep.

12. You miss them when you go on break and FaceTime them every day.

13. You don't get sick of each other, every day there is something new to love about living with her.

14. You know their schedule better than your own and you have designated lunch times throughout the week.

15. There is no one else you rather live with, she became your family.

So here is for all those roommates who actually became your sisters, specifically to mine Ana and Emilia, who I've lived with for a year and will continue living with because I love them and there I couldn't imagine not having them in my life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
