Have you ever thought of yourself as a book nerd? Are you not sure? Whether you find yourself awake at all hours of the night reading or if you own a massive collection of books that you're always adding to, being a book nerd makes you unique. Book nerds have vivid imaginations and tend to take their minds on never-ending adventures. Here are 15 signs that prove you are a book nerd.

1. You always carry a book with you.

It doesn't matter where you're going, you bring a book. You have one in your purse, book bag, or car. You never know when you'll need one, but you always like to be careful.

2. You've run out of room on your bookshelf.

Your bookshelf became full ages ago and you now have stacks of books everywhere; against your wall, on your desk, and beside the bed.

3. You won't get rid of your old books to make room for new ones.

You may have run of out places to put your books, but you can't bear to get rid of any of them. You're attached to every one of your books, whether you hated or loved it. Each book was a journey and adventure you had the chance to on.

4. We have a "Books to Read" list that will never end.

You're continuously adding to your list. By the time you've finished one of your books, you've added 10 more. You'll most likely never finish your list.

5. The books are better than the movies.

You try to avoid all movies based on books. They tend to disappoint you and never live up to your expectations. Movies are great and all, but they have nothing on the book.

6. You often find yourself emotionally invested in fictional characters.

You are hopelessly in love with certain characters and enjoy following them on their adventures and triumphs. But when one of them dies, a piece of you does as well.

7. You do NOT lend out your books.

Your book collection is like your own children and you can't bear to lend them out. You never trust people to take care of them because they bend your pages and return them in terrible condition.

8. You hate kindles.

You refuse to buy a kindle because it's just not the same. Reading is an experience that technology just cannot live up to.

9. You have a strange addiction to the smell of books.

Opening a book and getting a whiff of that old book smell is strangely comforting. You have yet to find anything that compares. The downside is you look a little odd in a library or bookstore sniffing books.

10. Finishing a book series is the worst.

When you read a book series, you've been with all of the characters through everything. So, when the series finally ends, you feel like your life does too.

11. You have your dream library all planned out.

Have you imagined your dream library? Are there tall never-ending shelves filling a room? Is there a private door leading to a little sanctuary? Is there a desk and super comfy leather chairs?

12. "Just one more chapter" is a big part of your vocabulary.

Once you've started reading, quitting is far too hard. Therefore, you constantly find yourself saying, "Just one more chapter," until you've finished the entire book.

13. You've lost countless hours of sleep.

You always find yourself reading right before bed because that's where you are most focused and comfortable. When 3 a.m. rolls around, you're still wide awake and almost finished with your book.

14. You spend an irrational amount of money on books.

You simply cannot enter a bookstore without buying at least 1... I mean 10 books. My bank account statements say Books-A-Million more than anything else.

15. Bookstores are your favorite place on earth.

Entering a bookstore is a pretty great experience. The smell of new books and coffee from the adjoining coffee shop, the clearance table, and all of the beautiful book covers are enough to make anyone happy.

If you can relate to and understand everything on this list, then you're a book nerd. Go take a little time out of your day and crack open a book .

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
