People: they aren't for everyone.

15 Signs You Just Aren't A People Person

One of the most shocking compliments I've ever received is being called a "people person." I think I actually laughed out loud when I heard that. While yes, I can turn on the charm at work and in social settings, my inner self is screaming to get away. There are just some really frustrating things that happen in this world and sometimes people can just be too much. I do have a very good and close group of friends that don't grind my gears, but I'm not good at letting people into my circle because most people make me want to poke my eyes out. I know I'm not the only one, and I think that the social media generation is making this more prominent. Do you find yourself rolling your eyes in multiple social settings? Or find yourself grinding your teeth together when talking to people? Then the following list is probably for you.

1. Walking Behind Slow People In The Grocery Store Gives You Road Rage

Like, excuse me Linda but if you could please take all the neighborhood children you brought with you and get a move on, that would be great.

2. You Avoid Talking To People You Run Into In Public

"Oh hey you." ....Bring on the awkward small talk you had been trying to avoid.

3. You Hate Talking To People On The Phone

Please, please, please just text me, and if I don't know you, leave me a message, because it's a definite no-go on answering the phone.

4. You Pretend To Not Be Home When Someone Knocks On The Door

No, I don't want to sign for this package. Just leave it in front of the door. Also, I don't have time to talk about our lord and savior. We're already on good terms.

5. Nothing Makes You Happier Than The Window Seat On The Bus So You Can Avoid Small Talk

Look at the clouds. Wow, I'm so distracted that I can't talk to you about your cats, lady.

6. Headphones Are A Saving Grace

They are a built in "go away" sign. Forgetting your headphones is a huge no-no.

7. You Hate Making/Following Through With Plans

Making plans always seem like a good idea until the day finally comes and you have to put on pants and make nice with people.

8. Little Things People Do Like Breathing Too Hard Drive You Crazy

We all know somebody that just grinds our gears. They could take a breath and we'd want to punch them.

9. Meeting New People Is Your Worst Nightmare

"So what do you like to do?" "Uhh, not talk to strangers..?"

10. Listening To Other People's Problems Makes You Want To Pull Your Hair Out

It's the same thing over and over and over again. Like please just move on from your issues or stop including me in them.

11. Taking Yourself Out Of Group Messages To Avoid The Notifications

Guys... please. All your messages are interrupting my Pinterest browsing.

12. The Best Part Of Your Day Is Coming Home And Being Alone

My pants are off half way through the door and I can finally binge-watch "Criminal Minds" on Netflix and unwind. Alone.

13. Listening To Someone Ignorant Speak And Imagining All The Brain Cells You've Lost

Hopefully you can get them back... soon.

14. Netflix Has Become Your Best Friend

I really feel like this meme says everything. Like yep, there you go.

15. At The End Of The Day, You Know There Are Some People That Aren't So Bad

OK, while, yes, mankind can be extremely infuriating, we all have our select group of people that are tolerable. Shout out to them for being the real MVP.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
