As any Lilly Pulitzer lover knows, Lilly is more than just a fashion statement.

1. You know the whole story of the brand (and you like telling it to other people).

You don't know what Lilly Pulitzer is? Let me tell you the whole story..... It all started with a juice stand.

2. You can name the prints just by glancing.

You know the difference between the original and new color-ways of prints like Jellies Be Jammin' and can even identify prints that are over 10 years old.

3. You struggle to style Lilly in the colder months, but wear it anyways.

Since Lilly doesn't really make pieces with black or brown, you really have to work to style it in the late fall and winter. That doesn't stop you though!

4. You have a countdown to the After Party Sales in August and January.

You also know all about the thrills of the digital line only being a few people long or the pain of the website crashing, but it's all worth the sale prices.

5. The pain it brings when someone spells the brand name wrong.

It's Lilly, not Lily.

6. You are a member of multiple Lilly Pulitzer Buy/Sell/Trade groups on Facebook.

They're like your second home. They help you style outfits, find deals on older prints and always seem to get the inside scoop on what's going on at the Pink Palace.

7. You make a point to tell others about how flattering the shift dresses are.

Most of the shift dresses are flattering no matter your body type and that makes Lilly look super stylish on anyone.

8. You can spot a Lilly Lover from a mile away.

If she's wearing Lilly, she's definitely friend material.

9. You've made friends with the sales people at your local corporate or signature store(s).

You know where to get sale lists from, who will give you the inside scoop on the next collection and are just generally close with the Lilly team members.

10. When you travel, you look for places that sell Lilly.

Never been somewhere? Better scour the internet for all the corporate stores, signature stores and boutiques. Just because you're going somewhere new doesn't mean you can't score some Lilly as well.

11. When people say your outfit is too bright.

Is that even a real thing?

12. You've probably attempted to paint a print on something.

Many of us have tried it, but not all of us can do it. Better just leave it to the crafty experts on Etsy.

13. You hate when people call ladies who wear Lilly "basic sorority girls".

You're just jealous of our boldness. Also, half of us have never even been in a sorority?

14. You have a section in your closet dedicated to Lilly.

The collection belongs together.

15. Wearing Lilly makes you genuinely happy.

On rainy or bad days, the brightness of Lilly can really cheer you up.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
