Being a woman is hard due to what the media puts in our heads. Stop focusing what the media says and start taking it with a grain of salt. I have made a list of keys to success for being a woman in our society. You can take my keys to success with a grain of salt because I don't know everything, and what is best for me may not be best for you — so always keep your best interest in mind.

1. Confidence is silent and sexy.

2. If you buy a pair of sexy tall heels, make sure you know how to walk in them because they won't be sexy if you can't walk in them.

3. Don't wait around for good things to happen. Make good things happen.

4. Do nice things for others, but don't be a people-pleaser.

5. You are never "too" anything.

6. Vulnerability does not come easy, but being vulnerable makes others connect with you better.

7. Wear the revealing outfit if you feel sexy. You should be able to wear what you want.

8. Friends come and go. That's OK. Do not lose them over stupid arguments.

9. Your opinion of yourself is more valuable than others'.

10. Don't strive to be anyone but yourself.

11. Invest in bras, jeans and shoes that actually fit.

12. When finding clothes, remember that size is just a number and does not define you.

13. Live life outside of your comfort zone.

14. Live a life full of mistakes, but always learn from your mistakes.

15. Don't ever share everything you know.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
