15 Reasons Why My Best Friend Is My Best Friend

When I hear the words, “best friend,” I instantly think of one person in particular. I have lots of friends, but we all have that one friend that has been there for us through it all and understands us better than anyone else. My best friend and I became two peas in a pod when I was a junior and when she was a freshman, which means we’ve been friends for six years now. High school cheerleading brought us together and we’ve been tight ever since. I could go on and on for days explaining why my best friend is my best friend and I could also tell you several stories, but I will keep it short and sweet. Here are fifteen reasons why:

1. I can talk to her about anything.

Even if my problems may seem very minor to her, she still listens and gives me advice when I need it. And of course, I will always do the same for her. No matter how embarrassed I may be about something, I will tell her anyways so we can laugh about it.

2. She joins in on my weirdness.

We’re not afraid to be ourselves. Whatever comes to our minds, we share it, even if it may seem weird, silly, or crazy.

3. She does not judge me, ever.

No matter what the case may be, she will never judge me.

4. She is always up for going out on the town.

My best friend is the most outgoing person I know! There are no doubts in my mind that we won’t have a good time when we go out for the night. Over the years, we have made some of the most memorable nights together.

5. She chooses my outfits for me.

Can you really go out in public without your best friend’s opinion? I think not. Plus, she knows more about fashion than I do so her input is always greatly appreciated!

6. Her stuff is my stuff and my stuff is her stuff.

We wear one another’s clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. Like I always say, “Sharing is caring!”

7. We share the same love for Sonic.

Out of all of the places to choose from in our hometown, nine times out of 10, we go to Sonic. Some people may disagree, but nothing is better than a good ole’ sweet tea from Sonic.

8. She is always up for a shopping trip.

In our spare time, we like to go shopping, go shopping, oh, and shop some more. What’s more fun than blowing your money with your best friend?

9. She is always there for me.

When times are tough, she’s always there. If she can’t physically be there for me, I know she’s just a phone call away.

10. She's one of my biggest fans.

I have some of the greatest supporters who always cheer me on and she is definitely one of them.

11. She is honest with me.

Everyone needs that friend who is not afraid to “tell you like it is.” Whether I have an ugly outfit on or I’m being stubborn, she always tells me the truth.

12. She buys me food when I’m broke.

The only comment needed for this reason: we love food!

13. She accepts me for who I am.

Your best friend will love you just the way you are.

14. She forgives me when I’ve messed up.

Yes, we have had our fair share of arguments and fusses, but we always forgive one another and move on. We’re humans. We’re not perfect. We make mistakes daily. Luckily, I have a best friend who thinks the same way I do.

15. She’s my person!

If you’ve watched "Grey’s Anatomy" then you know exactly what I’m talking about. “If I murdered someone, she’s the person I’d call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor. She’s my person.”

Cheer camps, beach trips, concerts, sleepovers, nascar races, shopping trips, softball games and tournaments: I’ll always cherish the memories we’ve made over the years. Even though my best friend and I currently live in different cities and go to different colleges, our friendship will remain the same. Yes, I know I did not mention my best friend’s name in this article, but she knows who she is. Thanks for reading and share this article with your best friend!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
