15 Reasons I Have The Best Roommate In The Game

Now I don't know if I'm capable of living without you.

Ah, roommates. We've heard all of the horror stories that come with the term. Even if they are your best friend, living with a person can bring out the worst in some people. Of course, if you're lucky enough you'll hit the roommate jackpot and find someone who fits every aspect most of us desire in a living buddy. After two years and counting, I'm confident to say that I won the roommate lottery.

1. She's Considerate

If she's ever going to have friends or family over she always makes sure to run it by me first.

2. Which Means Not Being Loud Late At Night On Weeknights

Even if she still has papers to get done, she always works in the most quiet fashion possible and makes sure to check in that she isn't keeping me awake.

3. She Cleans Up After Herself

You won't find empty takeout containers months later in our place, thank you.

4. And Doesn't Hate Me When I'm Not Clean

While I'm far from a messy person, sometimes life gets a little too hectic to have the time to clean after a long day (or week). My roommate forgives me for when things get a little untidy until I have the time to get to them.

5. She Is A Built In Companion

I always have someone to be my partner-in-crime.

6. Which Means I Never Eat Alone

It's a rare occasion when I don't have someone to eat my meals with.

7. She Accepts Me As I Am

Meaning no makeup, fresh out of the shower in the baggiest sweatpants and t-shirt I could find.

8. She Lets Me Borrow Her Clothes

When it's Friday night and nothing seems to look good she always offers her wardrobe to help my fashion-challenged self.

9. She Approves Messages To Boys

Texts and Snapchats are always run by her.

10. We Go To The Gym Together

Tell me there's something more perfect than having a roommate who is also your workout buddy. There isn't.

11. She's Always Down For A Roomie Movie Night

Sometimes it's just better to stay in.

12. She Cheers Me Up When I'm Upset

Or cries with me.

13. And Is The First Person I Want To Share Good News With

Who else will I have celebratory champagne with?

14. I Don't Get Sick Of Talking To Her 24/7

If we aren't together chances are we're texting, sending each other Snapchats or commenting on each others social media posts.

15. She's My Best Friend

Forever grateful for having the best roommate I could ask for and more.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
