Relationship status: single and happy.

15 Reasons To Love Being Single

Every memory I have from high school includes my friends having a significant other while I end up being a third wheel. If I invited my best friend to the movie, I somehow invited her boyfriend. Don't get me wrong; I don't dislike people in relationships. But sometimes you just need some girl time away from the guys. It seems like everywhere I look there is someone in a relationship and good for them, but here are some of the best things about not being in a relationship.

1. No shaving

Skipping a few days here and there is no problem when the only person who touches your legs is you and you just wanna take a quick shower.

2. Binge-watching Netflix

Being single means you can watch what you want when you want without someone else butting in. Eight straight hours of "Supernatural"? No problem.

3. Clothing is optional at home

After a long day, there is no better feeling than taking off your pants. Enjoy it while you can.

4. Experimenting with food

If you wanna eat a burger with honey or some combination of food, eat away without care.

5. More cats = more fun

Let's begin this transition to crazy cat lady early.

6. Saving money

But in reality, you're gonna spend it elsewhere, either on clothing, gas, or food.

7. Sleeping in on the weekend

No significant other means more time to sleep and no one to wake you up.

8. Eating what you want when you want

There's always that one day when you're still hungry no matter how much you eat so eat away.

9. No drama or random fights

I may not have these with a significant other but I definitely have them with my roommates and my mother. Not always avoidable, and it's typically over who didn't put the new roll of toilet paper on the roll.

10. No awkward conversation starters

Unless you're planning on going on dates, there will be no awkwardly sitting across from someone else and not knowing what to say. If I wanted to stare at a wall, I would have stayed at home.

11. A day off really means a day off

You can relax instead of rushing around to go out and be with someone (unless that's what you want to do). I like reading a book or sleeping.

12. Leaving your apartment or room a mess

I somehow always end up running behind at least one day during the week because I lost track of time and clothes end up on my floor with all the other collections of items I've pushed off my desk and bed and I don't care because I'm proud of my mess and it's organized in some weird way.

13. Eating a whole pizza

Not going to lie. I've come close to eating a whole pizza myself before.

14. You are committed to one person: yourself

Take this single time to pamper yourself and enjoy the no-strings-attached lifestyle.

15. Blasting "Single Ladies"

You are only single for a period of your life, so blast this while it's true and release your inner Beyonce.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
