15 Reasons You Should Live On Your Sorority Hall
Frances Cooper

Right now, you may be questioning whether or not you should live on your sorority hall. Last year I was in the same situation, and decided to live with three of my friends with a few more down the hall. This decision was one of the greatest ones I've made. I became friends with people that I had not previously known, and I became closer to my friends. There is never a time that I have to watch the Bachelor alone or have no help picking an outfit. Here are just a few more reasons you should live on your sorority hall:

1. You always have someone to make you study.

Even on the nights when your favorite TV show is on, you have someone who will sit with you to make you study for that Anthropology test when you really don't want to.

2. You always have someone to borrow clothes from.

We all have those days that we just aren't feeling anything in our closet. Living with 20 of your best friends gives you opportunity to shop in their closets!

3. You always have someone to watch the Bachelor/ have movie nights with.

4. You always have someone who will go with you to get food.

There's always that one night when you reallyyyy want some ice cream, and chances are that one of your neighbors does too! Or it might be someone you need to make you eat carrots because carrots are healthy and you're both on a diet.

5. You always have someone who will tell you which outfit looks best.

Whether it's for an interview, first date, or game day, there's always someone to tell you which dress is the cutest or what shoes to wear with your outfit.

6. You always have someone who will calm you down when you get stressed.

7. You always have someone who will help you get the bugs out of your room... or laugh at you while you try.

8. You always have someone who will go to the gym with you... or make you go with them.

9. You always have someone to vent to.

10. You always have someone who will give you advice.

11. You can get ready for chapter and get there in 5 minutes because you live right upstairs.

12. You always have someone who will have a jam sesh with you.

Whenever your favorite song is on the radio, the new Justin Bieber song came out, or you have a Just Dance party, the girls down the hall are always ready to dance it out.

13. When your roommates are out of town, you're not alone.

14. It's like a sleepover all the time.

15. You get to know people you may not have known before.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
