Nowadays, many students have the intention of packing their bags and leaving their humble homes as soon as they receive their first college acceptance letter. But, it is also common for incoming college students to contemplate the idea of living at home. Non-commuters tend to hang their mouths open in disbelief that any college student would dare to consider staying home. College students, like myself, have greatly enjoyed life at home and here are some reasons why.

1. You really enjoy your family life.

Face it, you love being around your family. You can easily attend family functions, dinners and parties. How else would you be able to eat so much delicious food?

2. Privacy is a stay-at-home luxury.

Loud noises from hallways or the room above are nonexistent at home. You can easily shut your door to escape from any possible distractions.

3. You can complete your schoolwork in a timely manner.

It would be impossible for me to properly complete my work in a residence hall filled with strangers who do not consider the lives of dedicated college students, like myself.

4. You never need to pack your entire room.

I don't know about you, but I become nauseous thinking about packing my belongings.

5. To get food, simply walk (or run in excitement) to the kitchen.

I would not be as ecstatic to get food if I had to walk a mile, but I would still get it.

6. Homemade food is almost always accessible.

When my mother tells me she's making homemade gravy for dinner, I almost attempt to do a back flip.

7. The phrase 'freshman 15' does not intimidate you.

From having the opportunity to easily access healthy and homemade foods, you rarely worry about your consumption of food truck meals and rotten fruit.

8. You have easy access to a vehicle.

Driving to school is difficult almost every day of class, but you have the ability to drive yourself wherever and whenever your heart desires.

9. You can actually make friends, even commuter friends!

As my time in college progresses, I have met an increasingly large number of commuters. Meeting another commuter makes your heart flutter.

10. Non-commuters will never experience the pure joy of finding a parking spot.

Hitting your blinker and turning into the one vacant spot in a sea of parked cars is actually very exciting.

11. You can enjoy the comfort of sleeping in your own bed every night.

My bed is top notch compared to any other surface I have slept on.

12. You do not need to constantly pack and unpack your belongings.

Because you're always home!

13. You're always available.

When family members randomly plan a Sunday night dinner or when a friend calls you to hangout in several hours, you can guarantee that you will be there.

14. You do not have to wear flip flops in the shower.

I thoroughly enjoy not having to wear 'shower shoes' while cleaning myself.

15. Simply, you love your home.

There is nothing better then home sweet home!

A home is a foundation structured by memories. One day, you will have to leave the home that raised you. But, for now, you can bask in its glory for a couple more years.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
