15 Reasons Why Being A Barista Is The Best

1. It's easy to wake up and get to work in the morning.

There is a 100 percent guarantee that coffee will be there.

2. Everyone is happy to see you, no matter what.

You're automatically everyone's savior at 7 a.m. on a Monday morning.

3. You're only one step away from being a bartender.

Mixing drinks, getting tips and hearing people's life stories is close enough right?

4. You can take your barista skills anywhere.

Even the darkest and dullest places have coffee shops...I hope.

5. Customers usually tip at least $1 per drink...

Sometimes even when the drink is only $1.25.

6. You can never get tired at work.

You're literally surrounded by caffeine.

7. You can easily make someone's day.

Everybody loves when the barista knows their name and "usual."

8. You can taste test your progress.

There's always room for improvement and a constant craving for coffee.

9. You'll meet some very interesting people.

You'll meet locals you've never actually talked to, old people who'll lecture you for hours, hipsters who bring their own coloring books, etc.

10. You can drink some coffee and relax on a slow day.

You can maybe fit in a crossword puzzle or a good read.

11. There's coffee shop music.

This means there are good vibes, even if it's just a Pandora station.

12. There are a wide variety of teas to try...

After a cup or five of coffee, of course. Heads up: Yerba Mate tastes like grass.

13. It allows you to be creative.

It's a great way to espresso yourself.

14. You can experiment and find out what's good and what makes you wanna throw up a little.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
