If there is anything I want anyone to know about me, it's that I absolutely love makeup. If you know me personally, you know that I live and breathe highlight and mascara more than anything in this world. The glow has always been my main priority when it comes to beating my face, but lately, I've been more about the natural glow.

I try and cover up my imperfections with makeup just as much as the next millennial, but because ya girl ran out of her tried and true Morphe setting spray, and lost motivation to wake up earlier to do my makeup, I decided to let my skin breathe and take a little test to see just how much different my skin would be if I didn't wear ANY makeup for a week.

Luckily, the Lord decided to bless me with clear fair skin, so I didn't see any drastic changes. However, I did pay more attention to my skin and noticed more about it than I had before.

After going to Sephora and ULTA Beauty countless times, I've learned that I have combination skin but it's more normal to oily than anything. I usually get that glisten of sweat in my T-zone that I like to hide with powder so going without makeup for a week was definitely going to be a challenge for me.

Here are 15 things I noticed about myself and my skin after going without it for a week.

1. I don't need makeup to feel beautiful.

2. I felt more confident.

There was something about seeing me in my natural state that made me understand my true beauty. My confidence boosted.

3. My skin has a natural glow.

4. My pores seemed smaller.

Even though my skin is normally clear, I still notice imperfections like my huge pores. It was nice to see how quickly they minimized.

5. I could actually rub my eyes and it FELT great.

For all of you makeup wearers out there, I'm sure you can relate to that feeling when you can actually rub your eyes. You know who you are.

6. All you need is a little moisturizer.

8. I didn't break out.

If you want to look put together, you don't always need makeup. Just throw some mousse in your hair and you're good to go.!

12. SnapChat filters looked better.

Instead of having my eyes look even more fake with the heart filter, it gave me more of natural look. It basically did my makeup for me.

13. Looks aren't everything.

14. I think I look better without makeup.

15. I learned to embrace my flaws.

You should too.

Earlier this week, I ended up doing a full face of makeup and let me tell you, it looked so much better. It's important to take care of your skin and not always put all of the extra chemicals to it. I've learned to dress up and not have to do a full face and have learned that that's okay. Not everyone needs makeup to feel beautiful. Embrace those flaws, ladies and gentlemen. They make you who you are.

If you're trying to get your skin back on track or just try new things with your skin in general, then I would suggest this. Let your skin breathe and see what happens. May the odds be ever in your skin's favor.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
