Random acts of kindness not only benefit others but also yourself. They can give you a sense of fulfillment and purpose. They can make you feel like you have had a positive impact on someone else's day. Here are 15 random acts of kindness that you can do every day.

1. Hold the door for a stranger.

Instead of minding your own business and letting the door shut behind you, make sure to look back and open the door for the next person.

2. Compliment someone.

Find something you admire about someone else and let them know!

3. Help someone without having to be asked.

If you see a mess around the house, don't wait for someone else to do it. Take initiative and clean it before having to be asked.

4. Smile at a stranger walking by.

A simple smile to a stranger can be so powerful on a someone's mood.

5. Write positive sticky notes and place them in public places.

Place sticky notes with positive messages in public restrooms, classrooms, and offices so that just in case someone needs a pick me up, it's right there for them.

6. Tip someone more than what is expected.

If you received exceptional service somewhere, tip a couple bucks more than expected.

7. Bake something for a friend who needs to cheer up.

If you see that a friend is struggling and going through a hard time, bake them their favorite dessert to try to brighten their day.

8. Write a letter of appreciation to someone you love.

Take the time to write a letter to someone you love when they are least expecting it. It will show that you are thinking about them and they will feel appreciated.

9. Put extra change in the parking meter.

When someone is running in a hurry and then realized they don’t have enough change for the meter, it would make their day so much brighter to see someone already added extra change before they left.

10. Donate books to the library.

Take books from around the house that are no longer being used and donate them to the library so they can be enjoyed by other people.

11. Cook a meal for someone.

Pick a night to let everyone else in the household relax while you take a turn to cook.

12. Use Amazon Smile to donate a percent of your order total.

Amazon Smile is the exact same as Amazon except it donates a percentage of your order to the charity of your choice. Why not help those in need while still getting great Amazon deals?

13. Give Gatorade to garbage men in the summer.

Run a Gatorade out to the garbage men to show that you appreciate them and help them stay hydrated on hot summer days.

14. Say thank you to someone who has served our country.

If you see someone in uniform or someone who is a Veteran, go out of your way to say thank you for serving our country so they realize how important they are.

15. Carry around an extra umbrella to lend out to someone in need.

Carry around an extra umbrella in your car and hand it to someone in need when it unexpectedly rains. It’s a simple way to help someone.

Go out into the world and do as many random acts of kindness as you can. It is so easy to do and is a way to spread the love. Be the good in the world.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
