15 Notes From The Universe For When You're Feeling Down
Gerd Altmann

Everyone needs a little boost sometimes. “Thoughts Become Things,” (TUT), is a movement co-founded by Mike Dooley. The core mission of TUT is “to remind us of life’s fundamental truths: that life is magical, we are powerful, and dreams really do come true.” Mike, a New York Times bestselling author, has written books embracing this mission. The books are all available on the TUT website.

In addition to books, TUT offers “Notes From The Universe.” Seriously, everyone needs to check out these personally tailored, daily emails. It’s totally free to subscribe, and gives you something to think about when you’re feeling down.

Here are 15 of my personal favorites.

1) “When you understand someone, truly understand someone, no matter who they are, you cannot help but love 'em, even though you might not always love what they do.

You knew that.

Okay. Just as true is that for anyone you feel less than love for, no matter who they are, it's because you do not truly understand them.

Strange science,

The Universe”

2) “The more you lean on me, the stronger we become. The stronger we become, the bigger we dream, the higher we fly, the bluer the sky, and the happier we dance.

Lean on me,
The Universe”

3) “What if every "no," meant "not yet"?

Every setback meant, "there's something way better"?

Every loss meant, "even more is on the way"?

And every disappointment meant, "pucker up, buttercup"?

Yeah, precisely -
The Universe”

4) “Your mere presence has always been enough, dear, for the birds to sing, the waves to roll, and the sun to shine... honestly, it's not even possible to be more than you are, in the eyes of love.

Love yourself as we love you,
The Universe”

5) “When little things start to bother you, it might be because you need more big things in your life.

Happily, there's a super-easy spiritual fix: Get out more.

It's all spiritual,
The Universe”

6) “However long it takes, however difficult it seems, or however lonely you may become, remember, you live in a dream world where everything can change in an instant.

Especially when you've been visualizing.

Love, love -
The Universe”

7) “Haven't I always shown up with the right idea, at the right time, to spin your head and rock your world, when you least expected it?

Give yourself this rest you've earned.

You're my butterfly,
The Universe”

8) “It's true, the early bird gets the worm.

So does the late bird and the bird in-between. Because, by design, there are always more than enough worms.

In fact, the only bird that doesn't get a worm is the bird that doesn't go out to get one.

Oh, to be alive...
The Universe”

9) “Haven't you always found your way?

Hasn't there always been a light in the darkness? Haven't you always gotten back up? Haven't there always been serendipitous surprises, unexpected twists, and triumphant comebacks? And haven't you always had someone to love?

Coincidences? Or maybe, do you think, you, too, have always been loved?

Yours,
The Universe”

10) “See through the fog that tells others nothing matters, nothing is happening, and it does no good.

They realize not, that every second of history... was optional.

Burning down the house,
The Universe”

11) “Someone loves you very, very much, and because you received this Note, no matter how you received this Note, it's important that you know it.

Someone besides me,
The Universe”

12) “Some things should just be done for the fun of it.

Not because they're inexpensive, practical, organic, logical, fashionable, modest, brilliant, green, expected, proper, spiritual, thinning, fattening, prudent, or GMO-allergen-smoke-chemical free.

Supersize me,
The Universe”

13) “In all things, always and forever, simply wish the best for all involved, without stating what you think that is.

And then, whatever does happen, no matter what happens, know that it was.

All the best,
The Universe”

14) “It's always better to give too much, pay too much, and love too much, than not enough.

But then, since everything comes back to you anyway, can there ever be too much?

I love you too much anyway,
The Universe”

15) “If you can understand, dear, that the greatest obstacles between you and the life of your wildest dreams are actually imaginary, a product of your mind alone, fiction, I do believe we'll blow the wheels clear off this popsicle stand.

‘Push-Ups’ for everyone,
The Universe”

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
