1. The Arrangement (E!)

Megan Morrison (Christine Evangelista) auditions for a role in a film opposite Kyle West (Josh Henderson). Things take an interesting turn when she is also offered a $10 million marriage contract and is introduced to the self-help organization the Institute of The Higher Mind. Created by Johnathan Abrahams (Mad Men), this highly anticipated show is about a Hollywood love story and the darker side of being a celebrity. The Arrangement premiers March 5th.


2. Big Little Lies (HBO)

This upcoming miniseries is based on the novel Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley play three mothers whose perfect lives quickly unravel. There's a mysterious murder seen in flash-forwards to a crime scene but the killer has yet to be revealed. Could one of the moms be the killer? Will one of them end up dead? Watch the premier on February 19th to find out.


3. Chicago Justice (NBC)

The fourth series in the Chicago franchise, Chicago Justice follows the State's Attorney's team of prosecutors and investigators as they pursue justice while also trying to navigate the politics and controversy of Chicago. As they take on high-profile cases, they must deal with public opinion, the constant power struggles within the system, and their desire to see justice done. The series stars Carl Weathers, Philip Winchester, and Monica Barbaro. Chicago PD's Jon Seda makes his transition to the show as well. The series premieres March 1st on NBC.


4. Emerald City (NBC)

In NBC's adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) gets swept off to Oz by a tornado and accidentally kills the Wicked Witch of the East. Determined to get back to Kansas, Dorothy sets out to find the Wizard (Vincent D'Onofrio) only to stumble across an amnesiac (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who accompanies her in hopes of regaining his memory. . As she heads towards Emerald City, Dorothy is completely unaware of the prophecy she is about to fulfill. Emerald City premiered on January 6th. Watch the first few episodes on www.nbc.com


5. Frontier (Netflix)

Set in the 1700s, Declan Harp (Jason Momoa) is a part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw who is determined to break the Hudson's Bay Company's monopoly on Canadian fur trade. This action packed and entertaining story focuses on the struggle for control in a brutal and ruthless game of wealth and power. The series is told from multiple perspectives and takes place in a world where negotiations were more likely to be solved with knife or hatchet fights. Alun Armstrong, Allan Hawco, and Landon Liboiron also star. Watch season 1 of Frontier on Netflix.


6. Legion (FX)

Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Legion stars Dan Stevens as David Haller, a young man who was diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age. After an encounter with another patient, Haller realizes that there might be more going on with him than mental illness. To make things even more interesting Haller is introduced as an "unreliable narrator" so audiences will get to see his distorted view of reality. Connected to the X-Men film series, Legion is sure to be witty, thrilling, and very entertaining. The show also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, and Aubrey Plaza. Legion premieres February 8th.


7. Marvel's Iron Fist (Netflix)

The fourth and final show leading up to The Defenders, stars Finn Jones as Danny Rand, a martial arts expert who can call on the powers of the Iron Fist. After being missing for years, Rand returns to New York City to reconnect with his past and his legacy. As threats emerge around him, Rand must choose between his legacy and his duty as the Iron Fist. The series also stars Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup, and Rosario Dawson. Iron Fist will be released on Netflix on March 17th.


8. Riverdale (The CW)

A new take on the Archie Comics, Riverdale places beloved characters Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Cheryl Blossom, and others at the center of the murder of Jason Blossom. Everyone is a suspect. As the investigation continues, secrets they all hoped would stay buried will be uncovered. Narrated by Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Riverdale is smart, witty, and chock full of pop culture references. It is easily 2017's most addictive teen drama. Riverdale premiered on January 26th. 9. Santa Clarita Diet (Netflix)

Life in Santa Clarita, California was exactly what you'd expect for Joel and Sheila Hammond until Sheila (Drew Barrymore) transforms into a zombie who feeds on human flesh. The couple must now figure out how to continue living their normal life while accommodating for Sheila's new appetite. The series also stars Timothy Ollyphant, Live Hewson, and Skyler Gisondo. The show has been praised for its excellent casting and premise along with it's great comedy. Viewers should be advised that the show can get a bit gory at times. Watch season 1 of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix.


10. Star Trek: Discovery (CBS)

Set a decade before the events of the original Star Trek series, Star Trek: Discovery follows the crew of the USS Discovery. The season also focuses on an incident/event in Star Trek history that has been discussed but never explored. The series stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, and James Frain. Little else is known about the series but it being a new Star Trek series is enough to make it one of the most anticipated shows of the year. The series is set to premiere in May 2017.


11. Taboo (FX)

In 1814, James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy) returned to London after spending several years in Africa, following the death of his father. He soon finds that there was more to his father's death and that he has enemies lurking everywhere. Determined to repay those who have wronged him, Delaney faces-off against the East India Company. He also finds himself in a treacherous game between the United States and Britain. Conspiracy, murder and betrayal abound as this mysterious tale unfolds. The series also stars Jonathan Pryce, Jessie Buckley, Oona Chaplin, Michael Kelly, and Mark Gatiss. Taboo premiered on January 10th. 12. Time After Time (ABC)

What would have happened if H.G. Wells had built a real time machine to travel through time in search of Jack the Ripper? Look no further for your answer. Time After Time's H.G. Well (Freddie Stroma) is transported to modern day Manhattan in search of his friend whom he believes is actually Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman). He meets a girl named Jane (Genesis Rodriguez) who is determined to help stop Jack and prevent her own death. Can the duo stop one of history's most notorious killers? Time After Time premieres March 5th on ABC.


13. Victoria (PBS)

Queen Victoria (Jenna Coleman) is crowned at the age of eighteen and must learn how to navigate the politics and corruption of the Court. Season one follows her from the time she becomes Queen through to her romance and marriage to Prince Albert (Tom Hughes). This highly anticipated drama focuses on the woman behind the crown as she rises to become the most powerful women in the entire world. Rufus Sewell also stars as Lord Melbourne, Victoria's first prime minister. The series premiered on PBS on January 15th. Watch the first few episodes on www.pbs.org


14. The Young Pope (HBO)

The Young Pope tells the fictional story of the first American Pope in history. Lenny Belardo (Jude Law), now Pius XIII, attempts to navigate the politics of Vatican City. He is resistant to the many ways of the Vatican and has plenty new ideas of his own. Director Paolo Sorrentino says the series is about signs of God's existence and his absence. This controversial and dramatic is sure to keep you entertained. Plus, Jude Law is playing the Pope. Do you need another reason to watch it? The Young Pope premiered January 15th.


15. Z: The Beginning of Everything (Amazon)

Set in the 1920s, the series follows Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald (Christina Ricci) who was dubbed "the first American Flapper". The series starts before she meets F. Scott Fitzgerald and continues through their celebrity romance and marriage. Z: The Beginning of Everything focuses on a woman who is determined to have her own identity away from her famous husband. Set against amazing jazz and wild parties, this series is a modern take on one of the most infamous love stories. You can watch Season 1 on Amazon Prime Video.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
