The upcoming version of Beauty and the Beast is just the latest in the Disney trend of remaking animated classics into live-action films. However, some Disney movies just shouldn't be reinvented...for many reasons. Here are just a few:
1. Wall-E.
It would be cool to have a movie filled with real-life robots, especially since Disney is now in partner with Lucas Films. However, a whole cast of morbidly obese people might be frowned upon.
2. Finding Nemo.
It'd just be a movie of CGI fish and Darla.
3. Bug's Life.
Okay, so this one would be downright scary. If it were live-action, I know I would have nightmares about the evil grasshoppers. Plus, it's hard to make real bugs look cute.
4. Bambi.
I don't think we need to see Bambi's mom die realistically any more than we needed to see it animated.
5. Snow White.
It's the first animated Disney movie. You just shouldn't mess with the classic of all classics. Also, some may take the whole real-life dwarves to be offensive.
6. Ratatouille.
It's a great concept for the animated movie, but a movie filled with real looking rats is something no one needs.
7. Toy Story.
Creepy toys and that weird spider baby, need I say more?
10. Princess and the Frog.
The shadow man would be interesting to see live-action, but the rest of the story is literally just frogs...
11. Monsters Inc.
Kitty might not be as endearing to us in live-action as he would be to Boo. I don't think anything but animation can capture this fantastical story.
12. Emperor's New Groove.
Yzma just wouldn't be the same. And a llama for the main character loses its appeal when it's live-action.
13. Lilo and Stitch.
This would turn into a horror film instead of a tale of acceptance and family. Some things just don't need to leave the realm of animation.
14. Cars.
It would honestly be a less exciting Transformers.
15. Up.
Don't mess with absolute perfection.
