The 15 Best Movies of the Disney DCOM Marathon
Nick and More

Disney made my year when they announced a marathon filled with all of the 90s kids' faves. I don't think any birthday/Christmas present could top the combo of Wendy Wu, Cheetah Girls, HSM 1/2, Cowbelles, etc!!!! There are at least 30 different throwbacks happening during this once in a lifetime marathon throwback, but here are the top 15 in my book :)

1. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior

When I first turned on the TV to watch this, I was like bye this so dumb. But, a few years later, I appreciated this movie. Shoutout to this movie for teaching you that you can actually have the best worlds. Wendy Wu has the sass and skills.

2. Jump In!

This movie aired after HSM premiered. Naturally, like any big HSM fan, I freaked out and just had to watch it. Yes, guys, one of the best movies ever. Definitely teaches you to not judge sports/activities for select genders. LOVE IT.

3. Lemonade Mouth

Stella is/was/forever will be my spirit animal. 5 people all going through an internal struggle finding a common passion in detention? Yeah, def, only a thing that happens in movies. Thank you LemonadeMouth for being my spirit animal and always making me feel determined [no pun intended].

4. High School Musical 1 + 2

We all know about my unconditional love for HSM and the series. I don't think I will ever come across a movie as comedic, emotional, and entertaining as this one. Also, shoutout for the low-key unrealistic expectations about high school...smh.

5. The Proud Family Movie

This gif. It's me. Always

6. Twitches

GO TWITCHES !! GO TWITCHES !!

7. The Even Stevens Movie

I just miss this series so much.

8. Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie

This gif basically describes the entire movie. Lit got so much anxiety during this movie...so much man. So. Much.

9. Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam

Words don't come easy without a melody, I'm always thinking, in terms of do-re-mi...Mitchie and Shane---GOALZ.

10. Princess Protection Program

S/o to Demi for teaching us what's important as a princess. S/o to PPP for giving us false expectations of possibly being a princess during teen years.

11. Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off

Athlete and cook....double trouble.

12. Cowbelles

M E S S Y

13. Stuck in the Suburbs

"That was me caring for one second what you think. But don't worry. I'm over it." Get it, Natasha.

14. Cheetah Girls

We make up one big family though we don't look the same.

15. Cadet Kelly

As if? Ugh...

Literally counting down the days to this amazing marathon!! Nothing is better as a reward than a 5-star throwback marathon post-finals week, tbh.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
