With the post-Irma stress falling upon most of us as we try to pick up the pieces and prepare for midterms, it's easy to drown in frustration. If you're schedule is anything like mine, somehow every exam is now scheduled within the same week with tons of assignments piling up. Sometimes, we need to take a break, a deep breath, and look at some funny memes. A laugh can heal many things.

1. Life of the party

When you're being consumed by your studies but decide to still go out anyways. Sometimes we need that night out to relieve some stress.

2. That food money

We all know that feeling of having enough money to take a study break and get some Chipotle. We all need a little power food.

3. The end goal

We must keep in mind why we're all in college in the first place-- so we can have a job like this one day. Struggle now, thrive later.

4. Textbook workouts

More like when you're lugging around $2,000 worth of books every day for hours. They already cost an arm and a leg, why do they have to be 50 pounds also?

5. What happened to fall?

We Floridians can relate to this one on a personal level. We just want to wear our cute fall clothes, is that too much to ask?

6. Wait, there's still an exam?

That look we give that one teacher who didn't push back the midterm or assignments after Hurricane Irma.

7. I am absent

We're all guilty of pulling this move once or twice, especially when the professor starts calling on people who don't have their hands raised.

8. Pop quizzes

There's nothing worse than a pop quiz that could practically be in Chinese. We've all had that Mr. Crabs confusion moment.

9. The Netflix Theory

When you stay up really late watching Netflix and decide to scrap your entire original idea for your speech tomorrow. The mind wanders to strange places after midnight.

10. Perks of October

It may not feel like October outside, but at least we can go buy that strangest things without getting an odd look.

11. The Ultimate Lie

Every procrastinator's favorite lie: I'll do it tomorrow.

12. How dare they

This isn't study related, but some people just don't understand humor.

13. Stress Eating

We all need a stress eating buddy who doesn't judge our $15 trips to Taco Bell or McDonald's.

14. Freshman

No caption needed.

15. Stop Vaping

We all know those kids on campus with their vapes.

It's normal to be stressed in college, especially around midterms. However, it's okay to take a moment of the day to stress eat, take a nap, and have a good laugh. Remember, the pain is temporary, but that degree is forever.

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
