I watch an unhealthy amount of Grey's Anatomy in my free time. As I eagerly await the arrival of the twelfth season of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, I am finishing up season eleven for the second time. Here are just a few of the life lessons that I've taken out of watching greys.
1. It's okay to not be okay.
2. There are some things that people don't talk about, and that's okay.
3. Time flies and there's nothing we can do about that.
4. Sometimes life sucks, but you just have to push through.
5. Sometimes you need to put your own happiness first.
6. Appreciate people while you still can.
7. Don't wait around for what you want, go chase after it.
8. Whether you're a big shot surgeon or not, we all feel like we're not enough at some point.
9. You don't owe anybody an explanation.
10. You're never alone.
11. If there's the slightest chance, take it.
12. Family doesn't have to be blood.
13. It's okay to ask for help.
14. Sometimes talking doesn't help.
15. Last, but certainly not least, you have to believe that some day things will work themselves out.
