If you have been on social media at all the past few days, you know that Pokémon Go has been released. You would think people would be slouched over on their couches playing the game. However, people are actually out and about, exploring the outside world while in search of Pokémon. I have even heard that there are large-scale meet ups where strangers interact with each other. All good things, right? Well, yeah… to an extent. While some individuals are playing responsibly while they are on their adventures, there are many others that are just not giving a care in the world. Do you know one of these people? Are YOU one of these people? Well, here’s a list of scenarios in which you should not be playing Pokémon Go. You would think common sense would prevail, but according to the media, that’s not the case.

15. When you are in class

You pay for your education. Don’t let your money go down the drain.

14. When you are in a high-security setting

Don’t be surprised if you get tackled by security officers because of your “suspicious activity.”

13. When you are at church

We get it. You caught a legendary Pokemon. But your “Hallelujah” was at the completely wrong time…

12. When you are at a job interview

Yep. I have this many Pokémon. I am also a good strategist. I smashed that last gym. Hmm? What about my resume? You can read, can’t you? One sec. Hitmonlee. What? The interview is already over!?

11. When you are at a funeral

Think you’ll catch a Ghost Pokémon at a Funeral Home? No. Just no. Be respectful. Put your phone away.

10. When you are in a restroom

Plop. There goes your phone. So much for catching that Muk.

9. When you are crossing the street

No-brainer right? How much time is left on the timer? Oh wait! An Electabuzz!

8. When you are at work

Who knows? Maybe you have the coolest boss in the world that will allow you to play while on the job. You may even have a boss that is playing Pokémon Go as well. But if you don’t have either, I suggest that you keep your phone shut off if you want to keep your job.

7. When you are by a cliff

When you are looking at your phone instead of your footing. Don’t be surprised if you take a plunge.

6. When you are at a place that demands respect

Whether you are at the Vatican, a battle field, or Auschwitz, there is no reason why you should be playing Pokémon Go. It can wait. I don’t care if there is a legendary Pokémon there.

5. When you are arguing with your significant other

Mhm. Mhm. Looks like I got a Krabby. No! You aren’t crabby! I got the Pokémon, Krabby! COME BACK! Forever alone, aren't we?

4. When you are going through unknown territory

Depending on how much you like Pokémon Go, you may end up in an area completely unfamiliar to you. Be sure that you check your phones power before you unintentionally drain it. Look at your surroundings. Leave if you feel uncomfortable.

3. When you are on a Blind Date

What was that? Hold on a second. I’m catching a Dratini. Almost. Dang it, I’m out of Pokéballs. Want to see my collection? Wait a sec. Where did you go?

2. When you are making a sandwich

Nothing is better than making a sandwich in the afternoon. It would be a shame if you put something unappetizing on it.

1. When you are driving

GET OFF YOUR PHONE! It’s bad enough that people are texting and driving, but it’s worse when people are trying to catch an imaginary Pikachu rather than keeping their eyes on the road. The game can wait. Your life and the lives of the people around you are more important.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
