Spending quality time with your significant other can be hard to do while you’re in college. You both have hours upon hours of studying and homework, extracurricular activities and other responsibilities to keep up with. And money is always on your mind too, between paying for tuition, books and of course, food. But then to top it all off by wanting to spoil your significant other with gifts, food and dates, what are you to do? Well, with these inexpensive and fun date ideas I came up with, planning around your schedules and spending money won’t be such a hard thing to do.

Amicalola State Park, Raven Cliff Falls Trail, Preacher's Rock, Long Creek Falls on the Appalachian Trail and many more.

3. Plan a scavenger hunt

4. Day trip to Helen, GA

Immerse yourself in the German food and culture while enjoying the art galleries, hiking trails and water tubing.

5. Visit the zoo

Who doesn't love to see cute and exotic animals?

6. Waffles!

Whether you like your waffles plain or full of chocolate chips and your hash browns smothered, see the place where they were first made at the Waffle House Museum.

7. Swan Drive-In theater

Drive on up to Blue Ridge, Georgia and enjoy your time together cuddled under the stars watching the newest films to hit the big screen.

8. Nerd out together at the Fernbank Science Center and Planetarium

9. Visit your local farmer's market

Pick out your favorite fruits and vegetables to make a home cooked meal you can share together.

If you both love to exercise you could make a trip to the local gym or park to take a run together. Who knows maybe you'll both really enjoy it and want to be each other's permanent workout buddy!

11. Art Museums

High Museum of Art in Atlanta offers extended hours until 9 p.m. every Friday night along with half-priced admission and audio guides after 4 p.m.

12. Take a surprise trip

Surprise your significant other with a day trip that is at the top of their list or just get in the car and drive to an unknown destination and make a date out of wherever you end up!

13. Jav-ahh

Keep it simple and share a nice conversation over a hot cup of joe.

14. Relax

Take a night for movies, popcorn, hot cocoa or wine (whichever you prefer), cuddle up on the couch, pop in your favorite movie and spend some quality one on one time togetther.

15. Cork and Canvas

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
