Summer is upon us all. Even if you are still in school you are enjoying the lovely, warm weather that we are having. With this lovely warm weather, we want to go out and enjoy it! And when we're out and enjoying it, we have to pay for most of it. But many of us have one thing in common when it comes to having fun during the summer: we're broke. Even if we have a job, or not, it is hard to enjoy summer when most of the activities we want to do are pricy or cost much. Thankfully, I have a solution. Here are fifteen fun activities to do with your friend(s) over the summer.
1. Go on a hike.
Hiking is a great way to connect with your friends and with nature as well. Besides, you get to take pretty awesome pictures for Snapchat and Instagram, assuming you have wi-fi in your local hiking trails.
2. Go to your local swimming pool/county pool.
Unless you have a pool in your own backyard, that's pretty much the same concept.
3. Have a picnic.
You could even do your picnic during your hike!
4. Play with animals at the pet store.
It's inside, has AC and you get to play with cute little animals. Do I need to say more?
5. Volunteer at homeless shelters.
Helping people who are less privileged than you will make you realize that you are luckier than you thought you were. Plus, the best pay at homeless shelters is seeing the people smile because they get to eat and interact with other people.
6. Exercise together.
Friends who exercise together, stay together. Plus, you might need a spotter while lifting weights.
7. Have a spa day with each other.
What's better than treating yourselves with a little spa day? Nothing really, it's a great activity when you and your friends just want to chill out, relax and hang out.
8. Nap.
No doubt about it, napping is the best thing to do together.
9. Wash each other's cars.
It's a great idea to do if both of your cars are really dirty. Plus, it's a great way to cool off!!
10. Bust out your old water toys.
Slip'n'slide anyone?
11. Go to the park and take pictures of the scenery.
12. Go fruit-picking.
13. Walk around your city/hometown.
Absorb all of the rich culture and history while walking around. Just, try to avoid the cute little shops.
14. Go camping.
Unless you hate bugs or the outdoors.
15. Have a bonfire in your backyard!
What's better than roasting marshmallows and hanging with your friends? Nothing, really.
Hope everyone has a great and relaxing summer!
