Most all of us had an "emo" phase somewhere around our middle school years. Whether you went too far with the side bangs, wore way too much eyeliner, or looked like you permanently lived at a skate park, we all had a super deep emotional time period where we screamed punk rock lyrics in our rooms to get out our teenage angst. These are the best bands from that time, and some of their top songs we rocked out to.
