If you were in middle school around 2010, some of these will definitely apply to you. Forewarning, they may also bring back some cringe-worthy memories.
1. AIM and Away Messages
For me, AIM was a significant part of my 7th and 8th grade years. Away messages seemed like a great idea at the time, yet here we are.
2. Bottom Eyeliner
So. Much. Bottom. Eyeliner. Never mind the uneven orange foundation, glittery lipgloss, and old mascara.
3. Wore an obscene amount of the oh so cool, Silly Bandz.
We don't know why these were so cool and trendy but there is no denying that they absolutely were. The more you had the cooler you were. As for me, my mom would not buy me any so i got all the reject Silly Bandz that my friends didn't want.
4. DC Sneakers and Heely's
Heely's were the absolute shit. I rode them everywhere i could without getting yelled at by some angry adult. Once those faded out though, DC's were the coolest shoes I owned by far. You already know I felt like a boss wearing them too.
5. +yp3d !ik3 d!$!!!!
Face it, well all did it in one form or another. Whether it be adding way too many vowels in a word or using symbols, we all did not want to be grammatically correct...ever.
6. Aeropostale
So much neon. So much cringe. So much regret.
7. Friday Night Mall Adventures
Face it, you did it at least once.
8. Webcam Selfies
I have nothing to say about this one. Cringe.
9. Sidebangs
Such a terrible hair trend... and so incredibly inconvenient.
10. Emoticons
Yes, children, there was a time before emojis; And a dark, awkward time it was.
11. Duck faces
We are all guilty.
12. Religiously watching "The Jersey Shore".
Of course, i had to be in bed by like 10 and I had to hide from my mom that i was watching but, I did.
13. Overly Plucked Eyebrows
Just keep plucking, plucking, plucking.
14. Shutter Shading Glasses
Was this just me..?
15. Saw the Justin Bieber Movie...In 3D.
I don't know... I really don't know.
Share, like, and comment if you have done any of these super cringe-worthy things while in middle school. I know I did, unfortunately.
