We all have those weird things we're afraid of. Clowns, spiders, dolls, the dark, you name it. But there are some legitimate, documented phobias you never thought existed, and with good reason. Ever heard of someone who's afraid of ham? I have. Anything you could possibly think of, someone out there is afraid of it. Don't believe me? Check out some of these interesting phobias for yourself!

Chronomentrophobia: the fear of clocks

Time is a pretty scary concept, so I guess clocks are reminders that time is constant whether you want it to be or not.

Decidophobia: the fear of making decisions

Hey, I mean decision making is tough. It's hard enough to figure out what you want for dinner let alone a serious life decisions.

Ephebiphobia: the fear of teenagers

"Teenagers scare the living sh*t out of me" wasn't a popular lyric for nothing!

Leukophobia: the fear of the color white

But it's so easy to match things with!

Omphalophobia: the fear of belly buttons

I guess a sewn up hole in your stomach is a bit unnerving when you think about it that way...

Vestiphobia: the fear of clothing

Maybe that's where nudists looked to validify their ideals.

Syngenesophobia: the fear of relatives

They say you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.

Zemmiphobia- Fear of the great mole rat

Emphasis on the "great." Someone alert Ron Stoppable.

Peladophobia: the fear of bald people

Maybe bald people just remind them of what could be...

Papyrophobia: the fear of paper

Save the trees!

Levophobia: the fear of things to the left side of the body

I guess something just doesn't feel "right." ...sorry.

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia: the fear of long words

Wow. Talk about irony...

Geniophobia: the fear of chins

I don't know about you, but I'm really, genuinely interested in the justification behind this one.

Deipnophobia: the fear of dining or dinner conversations

This one makes sense. Those inevitable awkward silences are the worst.

Panophobia: the fear of everything

Nowadays, I don't think I blame these people.

We all have our quirks. Some just need a little more help explaining, but that doesn't make a fear less valid. I have a friend who's absolutely petrified of worms, to the point where it hinders her ability to sleep or walk around campus after it rains. These phobias, as much as they may seem odd to us, are very real to whomever they inflict. Want to read more phobias? Check out this link! Are you afraid of anything out of the ordinary? In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
