Being a college student means being broke 95% of the time. Dating in college means trying to come up with a date idea that won't break the bank. Because it's not the easiest thing to do sometimes, I've made a list of 15 cheap dates to help out all the struggle college students who want to take themselves, significant other, or best friends out.

1. Movie night

You can buy a frozen pizza from Wal-Mart for $5 and find a movie on TV or Netflix and eat pizza and watch movies. You could add as many snacks and movies to your heart's wanting.

2. Binge watch TV shows

Find a show you both love or want to watch and spend a whole day watching it.

3. Go to a dog park

Who doesn't love dogs? Who doesn't love playing with dogs? Who doesn't love watching dogs play with other dogs?

4. Go for a hike

I live in East Tennessee and there are a ton of hiking trails less than an hour away. Some have a fee to enter but most don't. Pick one and go.

5. Picnic

Make a couple of PB&Js and find a park.

6. Walk in the park

After your picnic, walk around the park and enjoy the weather. Maybe you'll see some dogs along the way.

7. Milkshakes

You can't go wrong with milkshakes. Starting 3/5, Sonic brings back their half-price shakes after 8 and I can't wait.

8. Go get some fast food

A lot of fast food places now have a $5 box deal which is where you can basically get a whole bunch of food for $5!

9. Stargaze

With the weather warming up, grab a blanket, a spot with little light, and just look at the stars.

10. Combine date #8 and #9

I asked my boyfriend what his favorite cheap date is and this is what he said.

11. Walk around target

I do this often and I never buy anything but I love to look at the dollar, seasonal, outdoor, and home section.

12. People watch

Be commenters.

13. Drive around the real nice neighborhoods and look at houses

There is just something about this that I just love.

14. Just talk

Find out each other's passions and what they wanted to be when they grow up with they were younger and all the little things that make them who they are.

15. Spend time together

You don't have to do anything great, just take an hour or two and just spend time together.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
