If you are moving into a dorm this year, you are probably excited to decorate! I am here to help with the strenuous task of back to school shopping. These are some of the most quirky, adorable, and unique little knick knacks that you can splurge on for your dorm room this year! Thank me later.

1. Magnetic Pete Key Holder

This little guy will keep your keys in one place so you're not scrambling every morning before your 8 a.m. class. The magnet could also be used for other little items that seem to disappear the moment you turn around, such as earrings. Magnetic Pete has your back.

2. Hanging Air Plant Terrarium Planter

If you want to add a little greenery to your tiny dorm room but is prone to killing every plant you touch with negligence, this is the decoration for you. These little succulents only need to be lightly misted every couple of weeks!

3. Casper & Coal Travel Cosmetic Bag - Signature Canvas Collection

A makeup bucket for all your cosmetic beauty needs. This tote can be easily carried from your dorm room to your bathroom and looks great!

4. MiniPresso GR Espresso Maker

This is the expresso machine of every college student's dreams. It's compact and even portable. Now there is no excuse for your grumpy pre-coffee attitude, just take the MiniPresso to go.

5. Eco-Friendly Thermal Bag Insulated Bag | Hot Cold Bag

Who doesn't get hungry in the middle of class? This is a great way to bring all of your snacks with you on the treacherous journey across campus to that dreaded chemistry class. Your lab partner sucks but at least you have multiple yogurt cups to keep you company.

6. Rose Gold Geometric LED Bedroom Fairy Lights

Everyone loves a good strand of string lights for their dorm room, but step it up a notch with Rose Gold Geometric ones! It's like waking up in a Pinterest-eque wonderland every day.

7. Sundial Compass - Solid Brass Sun Dial

I will not apologize for including a sundial on this list. They are the most wonderful things, just behind slice bread, and it belongs on any and every list there is. Also, this is a great conversation starter!

8. 8GB Nikon Camera Bag Shaped USB Memory Drive

It's a flash drive in the shape of a camera. For all the photography enthusiast out there, your finger should've already clicked the check out button by now. This little handy flash drive is the organization tool of your dreams.

9. HI-BOOM Cube Wood LED Alarm Clock

Everyone needs an alarm clock and this sleek wooden box design is the bomb. This clock will make you feel slightly better about pressing snooze for the 8th time.

10. Glass Mug with Polar Bear Print Coffee Mugs

It's an adorable polar bear mug! By my unofficial survey, I have concluded that polar bears are the number 1 cutest animal to be printed on a mug.

11. Amplitude Glass and Wood Table Lamp

This lamp is the first step of many to your dream of a rustic chic lifestyle. First, you start off with an amplitude glass lamp, then you are suddenly using mason jars instead of dinnerware and finally, you transform into a full-on lumberjack. A truly essential piece to any aspiring hipsters out there.

12. Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser

Have you ever visited Lush and wished your dorm would smell just as lovely? Well here is the answer you are looking for. This diffuser allows you to perfume your room with the best part about a bath-bomb. I can't wait.

13. Phone and Wallet Locator

This little device is the answer we've all been looking for. Now you will never lose your keys again with Tile! It effortlessly tracks down your possessions without the need for a mini heart attack.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
