New York City is the place where people go to find themselves or to get discovered, but for me New York City is home. The wide range of cultures, the art, and the so many different people have always called to me. There isn't anything more exciting than the thought of moving to the greatest city in the world, and know that you will feel right at home.

1. Everyone tells you that you can't afford it.

Yes, everything is way more expensive there, but that's a small price to pay.

2. You are okay with living in small spaces.

You are living in New York City, so who cares if your apartment is small? Why would you want to be inside, when you could be exploring? Also, you'd be lucky if it even looked that nice.

3. Your family is tries to tell you that people from New York don't have the same thoughts as us.

Yeah, I know, why do you think I'm leaving?

4. You have memorized the maps of Manhattan.

It has actually become a hobby.

5. You love that everyone is so busy that they couldn't be bothered with you.

Finally! Yes, manners are important. But now if I bump someone's shoulder on the sidewalk, I can just keep walking without having to apologize for like two minutes.

6. You have known that New York was for you since you have been able to walk.

Your heart has always had a soft spot for the greatest city in the world.

7. Your family is convinced that you will be mugged if you move to New York.

As if getting mugged anywhere else in the world is impossible.

8. You have a playlist dedicated to New York.

Sometimes you just need to be inspired by music about home.

9. The dilemma of wanting a S.O., but knowing that they might not want to move to New York.

No one is worth giving up New York for.

10. You are addicted to looking for the perfect Manhattan apartment.

Your other hobby.

11. You dream of watching the sunset over the skyline.

Is there anything more beautiful?

12. The thought of living anywhere else is just depressing.

Nothing can/will ever compare.

13. You know New York is going to make you work for everything, and you couldn't be more excited.

You will be proud to say that you worked for everything you have living in New York City.

14. You know New York is waiting for you.
